Okay, I know this chapter is pretty short, but it's just giveing you a basic introduction to what's happened.

I'm sorry.

I'm apologising in advanced because it's sad.

It's very sad.

It made me cry.

So yeah, I'm very sorry about that.

~Chapter 1~

I don't know what to do anymore. I'm just so scared. Toby's been in a coma for a week now and the doctors told me that there's very little chance he'll wake up again. Ever.

I can't talk to anyone about this. Not even Sean. Don't get me wrong, I've tried talking to Sean but he just doesn't understand. Nobody does. Only Toby would understand what's worrying me, but I don't think he's going to be around for much longer. The doctors are doing everything they can to help him, but they say that his injuries are very severe and he'll probably... Well, you know... Die...

But I guess if you're going to have any hope understanding what I'm talking about, you need to know the whole story.

On October 30th 2012, Toby and I were at a forest together, shooting a video. Afterwards, we were messing around and making random videos and in one of them, we pretended to kiss. But we did actually kiss by accident. And then this fake kiss became a real kiss. You can probably guess where I'm going with this, can't you? Yeah, on October 30th 2012, Toby and I became a couple. We decided to keep the relationship a secret from the fans. Well, until last week, anyway.

Last week, we agreed to come out. We were supposed to meet up at midday on Tuesday at the forest where we first got together. We were going to record a video together, explaining everything to our fans, and when we got home, we were both going to upload the videos to our YouTube channels.

Yeah, that’s what was supposed to happen...

Instead, he never turned up. At first I thought he was just running late, but he wouldn't normally turn up late for things, especially when they were as important as this. But I waited anyway. Soon enough, it was 6:00 and it was starting to get dark. He still hadn't turned up. I thought he had rejected me.

I was about to go home when my phone rang. I didn't recognise the number, but I answered anyway in case it was Toby calling from a payphone or something like that.

"Hello?" I asked.

The voice that replied didn't belong to Toby, "Hello, am I speaking to Mr. Jack Douglass?"

"Yep, that's me. What's up?"

The man sighed, "It's about your... friend... Mr. Toby Turner. He's at the hospital."

"Why? What happened? Is he okay?" I was beginning to worry. What if something really serious happened? What if he was hurt?

"Mr Turner was in a car accident. He's unconscious. I'm very sorry."

I chuckled, "Come on, Toby. You know prank calls like this aren't funny." But something inside me knew that it wasn't a prank call; Toby actually was at the hospital.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Douglass," the man said slowly, "this is not a prank call. Mr. Turner's family are already at the hospital and they would like to see you."

"Okay, I'll be there as soon as I can. Thanks for letting me know." I said and then hung up.

I went to my car and sat down and almost immediately burst into tears. I felt so guilty. I mean, it was my idea for us to meet up at the forest. Why couldn't I have just gone to his house like he had originally suggested? Then none of this would have happened and everything would have been okay. But no, I had to suggest the stupid forest, didn't I? I just thought it would make the video more special and meaningful, but instead it just ruined everything.

"Get a grip, Jack." I muttered to myself. "Everything's going to be okay. For God's sake look at you: you're a grown man and you're just sitting here crying like a baby. What's that gonna solve? Nothing. Toby needs you to be strong for him right now. So grow up, stop crying and get to the hospital." To my surprise, that did actually help. I wiped the tears away, put my seatbelt on and started the engine.

I drove to the hospital really slowly, worried that I might crash and end up unconscious too. That would not be good.

Anyway, I got to the hospital and ran to the reception desk.

"Hi," I said, "I'm Jack Douglass. I'm here to see Toby Turner..."

She nodded, "Through the double doors on your left, turn right and then keep going straight. He's in room 480. It will be on your right."

"Okay, thanks." I said before walking away and following her instructions. I wanted to run to him, but I knew I couldn't. Everyone would look at me as if I was mad.

I walked quickly, counting the door numbers as I went past. 470... 472... 474... 476... 478...

480.

I looked through the window on the door. Toby's whole family seemed to be there: his mum; his dad; his sister; his niece; everyone was there. Even some people who I didn't know. They were all crowded around a bed. On that bed...

Toby.

So yeah, that's the first chapter!

Sorry it's really short, but I hope you like it.

I'll be uploading Chapter 2 later today, but um yeah.

I should warn you now: the whole of this story is just going to be full of JackBuscus feels so yeah don't read this unless you're ready to be hit by a wall of feels. :]
