Dipper shouted at bill to stay there and rushed outside the shack.
When he made it out he saw a black panther but its body was less physical more see-through
'is it a holograph?'
His eyes look at the people who screamed
A married couple with a baby
"You three! Go and find ford pines! I'll stall the animal." Dipper says
The couple nods and starts running
The beast turns to dipper and looks at him
He feels like his eyes are judging him as if they're looking inside of him and asking a question
'why care for those who want you to burn? To die.'
Dipper was confused. He knew his family didn't like him but- to burn him. That'd seem too much even for them. Right?
"They wouldn't- even I know that's going too far."
The beast turned his head to the side questioning his words. Pondering over them
'you don't know. Do you?'
"Know what?"
Is he insane? What does he need to know?
As if the beast could hear him all along it charges forward. Hitting him in the center of his chest
Dippers eyes widen
'its... The same as it was that night! But- that can't be possible'
All of a sudden dipper falls over at the feeling of the wave all over again
He gasps out of shock and feels a quick surge of pain
' let it take over young one'
Dipper feels his eyes close slowly
Yellow is the only thing he sees before it goes dark
----
Dipper wakes up in his bed with bill beside him.
Their eyes meet for a moment
"Hi."
Bill whispers out of awkwardness
"Hu-hey. Um, what happened?" Dipper questioned sitting up slowly
"Oh. So I heard a thud and went to go check it out and found you hit, so when I went to see what hit you it disappeared. So I brought you inside and patched you up."
Bill said grabbing an open water bottle and drinking it
"So did anything else happen?"
"Yeah. After you passed out and I took you here you were mumbling to yourself about something. I couldn't hear anything other than demons are such cruel bastards." Bill said putting the water Down handing a fresh one to dipper
"What time is it?"
"7:30. Why?"
At that dippers, eyes widened he was out for the whole day
"Shit! I had to do stuff today!" Dipper stood immediately he then felt a gush of blood hit him and fell back
"I had gotten it done for you. I had looked into your thought process and saw the stuff you needed to get done, so I did it for you! It was a struggle though."
"Wait- you can look into thoughts? How!?"
"I don't know. Guess I always could" bill shrugs his eyes wandering around a bit
"So is it like... All the time or- now and then?" Dipper asks looking at him with curious eyes
"I guess constant. We should test it out to be sure though!" Dipper nods and starts thinking of stuff
'um- raspberries I guess??' dipper thought looking away awkwardly at the silence
" What are raspberries?" This caught dippers attention
" You- the jelly!? Y'know the one people will eat on bread! You can't be serious!?!"
"Oh. That thing it tastes bad." Bill admitted out loud
Dipper could only stare in shock
"Oh no... I'm dying at this horrible revelation" he then faked falling on the bed making himself seem dead
Bill laughed at this
"Oh noooo what to do," he says in response to dipper grabbing his arm
Both stare at each other for a moment. Eyes wide with confusion and hidden excitement
They laugh at this quietly before-
"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU! DIPPER" Mabel was heard on the other side of the door banging on it loud
"Go hide" at the dippers words bill gets in the closet seeing thick blankets hiding in them quickly
He closed the door quietly and dipper took a breath before opening the door
"What are you-" he felt a slap on his cheek
"WRITING ABOUT US IN THE PAPER SAYING THAT YOU WERE MISTREATED AND THAT WE LIED ABOUT WEIRDMAGEDDON. THAT I LIED ABOUT OUR PARENTS! ARE YOU SERIOUS? AFTER EVERYTHING WE'VE DONE FOR YOU!"
Mabel was furious. Dipper was confused
"Are you serious? I've been inside the whole day! Doing the chores that you all ignore! I haven't even been in town!" Dipper responded standing his ground
Part of him still hurt at how his sister treated him
"Liar. You always lie" dipper couldn't help but feel himself snap at those words
"Me! The liar! Oh, I swear to God you don't even know!" Dipper said yelling slightly at this point. But he kept his tone hushed due to bill. He didn't want him hearing him like this
Dipper sighs rubbing one of his temples
"I didn't do it so leave. I'm tired." He responded
"I'm only leaving because I have to fix your lie." With that Mabel left leaving a copy of the newspaper
Dipper stares at the copy of the newspaper
"Bill? You can come out now." He says pushing it under his bed
----
After dividing the bed in half for both males to sleep dipper laid still eyes unwavering from the ceiling
He takes a deep breath and turns to see bill
Relaxed and calm
Asleep
Dipper smiled at this but still felt pain at the confrontation with Mabel
He doesn't- hate her he just- wishes she understood. If only she knew how painful it was to live in this dysfunctional family
Dipper sighs and rests his hand on his face covering his eyes
Did she suffer?
He didn't know if he wanted to find out
Dipper fell asleep minutes after unbeknownst to him the monster heard it all
And smiled
'tomorrow will be interesting'
End of chapter 5
Imma be honest this is mainly bad filler that took me a couple months to write. I'm not that proud of this chapter but it's fine. Next chapter might be quicker I'm still not sure but it's currently in the works as we speak! Just give me a minute I promise it'll be ready soon!
Also imma be honest I needed a way to get that ball of bill and dipper rolling so let's just keep going with it and ignore how weird it kinda is
