The ride back to her penthouse was silent. It made Alana's stomach cramp the entire time.
When the car pulled up to the front of her building, DeMarcus climbed out and walked ahead of her. He led her up the elevator and straight to her door, walking inside with the key she gave him. He kicked his shoes off and walked into the kitchen, rummaging through her fridge to pull out the chicken he made earlier.
"DeMarcus, please talk to me" she begged but he ignored her. "I'm sorry! What else do you want?"
Her eyes began to water.
"How far along?" He asked lowly.
"15 weeks"
"And you just now telling me?"
"I just found out. My period was late and I assumed it was because of the stress. I wanted to tell you the day I found out but you had a game, you lost, and I didn't want to upset you even more. I thought you wanted this? You've been begging me for a baby for a while now"
"I do want this. I never said I didn't"
"Then why are you being so mean?"
"You seen how my night went. I'm over this shit"
"Come to bed" Alana walked over to him and grabbed his hand. He followed her into the bedroom where they snuggled up and fell asleep.

Erik had early morning workouts today and then there was team meeting. He already knew it was about DeMarcus coming back. Him and all the drama that followed him.
"That party was lit" his teammate walked by and dapped him up.
"Hell yeah"
"You know what the announcement is?"
"Nah" Erik lied. It wasn't his secret to share.
"Damn. I'll see you after workouts then"
Erik went hard in the gym today. He was pissed at Alana for putting her hands on him. Not even just that. She left without letting him know. Ignored his calls and texts and had him looking all over for her before someone let him know that she left.
"Damn bro. You make a bitch mad?" One of his teammates noticed his red cheek.
"Something like that"
The whole team joined together in the conference room and the head coach stood up to speak.
"....so with that being said, I want us to give Boogie a warm welcome back to LA"
Everyone except Erik stood up to congratulate DeMarcus on his return. He left the conference room and headed to the locker room to get dressed.
