I was at a room. A party going on in full swing. I was lonely in a room full of people. As if suddenly, I noticed a man near the keg. He was tall, dark and strikingly handsome. Why did he look so familiar ? His eyes were searching, moving fast through the crowd. Then, his gaze found mine. Could he see the sadness in my eyes ?
He walked over to where I stood. He said, " Hey! Let me give you company. How are ya doing ?". I contemplate lying. "I am doing good. Who are you? I've never seen you here before", I said. He smirked at me then and said, " I am your biggest fear , Kate. I am the darkness inside you". It was then that I knew for sure that I was doomed.
I looked up at him with what I hoped was courage and told him," Is that so? I thought you looked like a cheat. You just proved me right. Thank you so much !". He laughed. A clear, loud and full bellied one. His eyes gleamed under the red party lights. He looked serious when he warned me," You cannot run from me for long." With that he disappeared, stealing what little strength I had with him. All I saw then was darkness.
Sheer dark force threatening to devour me whole. I was scared.
