Blue Fill In

Chap 5

For the next few days, Blue spent his time getting to know his counterpart. They would hangout in places that he's pretty sure his brother would barely approved of.

But hey, dying boy's wishes wins.

It was worth it too since he loves getting to know Empathy, it's like seeing another world in his eyelights. This is probably because he is from another world.

Until one day, Empathy didn't saw him again..

He can tell by the way Swapy's sockets swelled and his shoulders drop that Blue was already gone.

Eventhough this is a weekly occurrence, they always needed a day to mourn for their lost family and friend before starting the week all over again.

It's like they're practicing for something.

It's the first time Empathy left a white rose on his door. The first in the hundred times that he has done.

After the painful Sunday passed, Monday came again. A new beginning for all of them. Then the cycle repeats all over again.

In each resets, Empathy and Blue would grew a lot closer. He becomes the constant thing that makes Blue feel alive as he has become the light in Empathy's dark life.

People could even say that they complete each other.

But they were getting too close to Swapy's liking, he's worried that Blue would get hurt more than he already is. Eventhough, Empathy has been living here for probably a few months now, it's still hard to trust him.

But he does make Blue happy. Happier than any resets they had.

He can even see changes in his brother for each week. He looks excited every monday, happily anticipating for the unknown. As if he knew about what's happening.

Was it the constant resets? Or did Empathy changed him? Either way, he wasn't sure if this is a good thing or bad..

Empathy found out secrets about Blue. Things that Viper barely knew, facts about him that his brother didn't know - sure, sometimes Blue repeats his secrets (That he may or may not memorized it by now-). But that's normal for someone who's in an endless loop of resets.

But there are times like this one when Blue tells something outside the loop.

"Can you keep a secret?" Blue asked him like it's the first time he did. Empathy then would nod and zip his mouth in gesture. "I'm not completely blue.. It's embarrassing, but I really didn't like this part of myself."

"What is it?" Blue put his hand in his sockets and removed the contract lenses, revealing beautiful green eyelights.

"It didn't look like that when I was younger, then I started hating it.. That's why I hide it so much.." He gazes on the side avoiding the other. Empathy put a hand on his cheek making Blue looks at him again.

"Wow.. They're pretty." He muttered the words in a trance like state. He didn't understand why would Blue hide something like this?

The taller of the two chuckled. "Don't joke like that, it doesn't suit me at all! It doesn't even compliment my magic or my style-"

"Of course, it does not."

Blue felt a pang of pain in his SOUL.

"Because it stood out the rest, makes you look more unique. You're still you even if you have that one or thousand changes." The sunset's soft light casted down on Empathy's face as a smile formed on his mouth. "And that's what I like about you."

Blue felt his SOUL lifted.

Ah dammit! He should get used to these kind of compliments, he's an Instagram celebrity! Comments more cheesy than that never made him blush like this!

Empathy stared clueless at him.. Okay maybe a little bit concerned. "Are you okay?"

He should really stop looking at Blue like that, he might not help himself this time.

God.. He felt like melting right now.. Wishing the ground would just swallow him..

(He was too overwhelmed to realize that "this time" meant a lot than just this timeline.)

Now Empathy is more worried than confused.

Later that night, the two went home with Blue not wearing his contact lenses.

Of course it never went unnoticed by Swapy. Chara (who goes by Cory now in respect of the Chara of the original timeline) said to him that it's good for Blue whatever Empathy was doing to him, but as his big brother, he couldn't help but worry.

And since then on, Blue's eyelights was rarely seen blue. And he felt more free than he thought it would be.

Over the next few weeks of unending resets and time loops, another problem came up again regarding to the newest Blue in the AU (or Multiverse, really). It's nothing serious - it's petty even. But the only other Blue is bothered by it.

It's the fact that his name is.. Empathy.

Ever since he came here, the name has always bothered Blue. Smaller Blue (Oh god.. He's gonna kill him if he knew about this) could definitely tell the way he hesitates to call him by his name - it's just that.. He didn't like it. It doesn't suit him at all.

"Seriously, you gotta have another name."

"Uh.. What?"

Shit! Shit! Shit! He just said that! He can't believed he just freaking said THAT!

"What's wrong with my name?" Empathy looks so offended by it. He could see the way his mouth pouts. Like a child who's gonna throw a tantrum. "Well?"

He's seriously looking cute right now-

"N-nothing! I just.. Hate it.." Blue whispered as if Empathy cannot hear him.

How dare he-

"Maybe you should called Empathy and I should be Blue!" It almost made him laugh the way Blue's face cringes.

"Wha - no! I love my name!" How dare this midget proclaimed such things?!

"Pfft-"

He looked down at Empathy and saw suppressing his laughter which in turn made him laugh.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it to be like that. It's just-"

"It's okay. It feels weird to be called like that while people knew who you are." It was much easier in his original MV since he could lived his lives separately as both Empathy and Blue. It just really feels awkward here.

Besides, he already has a name in mind.

"I can help you with the new name, you can be-"

"You can call me Teal."

Blue was a bit taken aback. "But you looked more like a Cyan to me." He was talking about everything about his counterpart as his colors are more soft and bright.

"True." Empathy agreed, but whenever looked at Blue's eyelights. The green ones being covered by blue creates a new color, a name that will always reminded him of the person who owns those colors. "But Teal is prettier."

(And the name the Omniverse will know him as.)

Blue didn't know why that made him blush and a lot of other things too.

But he knew one thing..

He was falling..

And he hopes Teal does too..
