Hi this is a new story and I hope you like it :)

-------------------

"Lucy, we need to go dress shopping!" My best friend, Perryn shouted. There's a massive, posh ball being held by the royal family in the palace that I find pointless- nothing ever happens there. The King and Queen chose a long list of people to go, so anyone asked to go is instantly panicking, thinking that they might not be pretty enough or smart enough, some think that they might die! But there are some sluty girls who think that one of the young princes will notice them- even if they do, it'll be because of all the make-up they're wearing. I don't bother with these kind of events, they're a waste of time and money. What's the chance of being picked anyway? I don't even know what the royal family looks like!
"Ugh. Do we have to?" I whined, almost begging Perryn to not make me go. If you've guessed, I also hate shopping.
"Yes we do have to. We have to find the perfect dress. We might even get picked by one of the Princes!" She squealed. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Oh yeh? What are the chances of that happening?" I asked.

"Well, if we go shopping and find the right dress, then the odds would be greater!" She reasoned with a smug smile placed on her lips. I sighed in defeat. You could never win with her.
"Fine. Lets go then."

"Nope." I said for about the hundredth time. I've been trying on dresses for 3 hours now and I haven't liked any of them. There's been a few slutty ones that I hated, and some that looked like they should be used for an old granny, and not a teenager. Perryn found a dress ages ago. It was strapless and the top of it was tight around her chest and was black, the bottom half puffed out and was a light blue color. She had some black high heels to go with it. Right now I've got a bright pink dress on which showed most of my boobs and finished higher than mid thigh.
"Ugh. Seriously? How many dresses have you tried on?" Perryn cried out loud. I changed back into my normal clothes and stepped out of the cramped changing room. I looked at Perryn and sighed.
"I'm never going to find the right dress!" Perryn looked at me with sympathy.

"Go and have a look around, maybe you will find the right one."

"Can't I just go in jeans and a fancy T-shirt?" I questioned.
Perryn pinched the bridge of her nose and said, "No. Go and find a dress." I huffed and looked around the store, searching for the perfect dress.
A shopping assistant must have noticed my frustration as she came and asked me if I needed any help.
"What are you looking for, my dear?" She was an old lady and she was really sweet.
"I'm looking for a dress for the ball." I replied.

"Ahhhh, right this way my dear." As we were walking I looked at her name tag and saw that her name was Penny. Penny pulled out a dress from the rack, it was a dark blue with sequins dotted around and it was floor length. I cringed and Penny put the dress back.
This time though, she pulled out a red, off the shoulder dress that finished just above the knee. I sighed and shook my head.
This went on for about 20 minutes. I could tell Penny was becoming frustrated with me. I don't see why though, she was the one who wanted to help me!
"Hurry up girl. My patience is running low, I can't see what is wrong with all of these fine looking dresses!" Penny almost shouted at me. I turned around to look at her and said,
"What the hell woman? You're the one who wanted to help me! I just simply haven't found the right dress yet! Jeez, you would have thought-" I stopped mid sentence with my mouth nearly touching the floor as I saw the perfect dress.
It was light purple and the bottom of it puffed out only slightly giving it that elegant look. I ran over to it and pulled it off the rack. Just my luck it was my size too.
"Oh my god Lucy!!!" Perryn squealed, "It looks perfect!"
I smiled at her and turned to the old shopping assistant, "Can I try this dress on please?" I pouted at Penny, pulling out my puppy dog eyes.
"Well... I suppose you can." She said uncertainly. I ran into the changing rooms as fast as my feet were carrying me, but in my haste, I didn't look where I was going and ran smack bang, straight into someone's chest. I felt myself falling backwards and closed my eyes, but the pain never came. Instead I felt two arms circle around my waist. I opened my eyes one at a time and had to stifle a gasp. The man in front of me was drop dead gorgeous. I stared at him for who knows how long. He smiled at me and damn, it was the hottest thing I had ever seen. He had jet black hair and a pale face with grey eyes that looked like they could see into your soul. He looked around my age, maybe one or two years older. I finally got my voice back and said,
"Oh my god I'm so sorry. I should have watched where I was going." I apologised.

"No, it's ok, it was partly my fault too. Too many dresses in this shop!" He joked. I laughed and realised that we were still in an awkward position. I think he realised this to as he pulled me back up into a standing position and removed his arms from my waist. He looked down at my arms and asked me, "Is that for the ball?"

"Uh yes, I was about to try it on before I ran into you." I smiled at him sheepishly.

"I told you already that it was partly my fault. And I bet that dress will look amazing on you." He told me with a small smile. I felt my face blush and was no doubt the colour of a tomato.
"I never caught your name." The man said.

"It's Lucy, and yours?" I questioned. He looked a little shocked at my question but still answered me anyway.

"My name is Tyler." I nodded my head and said,
"Well I better go and try this on, so I'll see you soon?" I asked.

"Oh yes, you'll see me very soon indeed." And with those final words, Tyler walked out of the shop, sending me a cute smile on the way.
