Ranni's P.o.V
I looked down at my feet. Xavier was staring at me and it was kind of uncomfortable. Maybe he thought I looked ugly. I could feel my heart speed up. Why does he have that effect on me.
"Lukey!" Bell exclaimed, running towards him.
Lucas and 2 other guys came out of a room. Great way to leave me standing here all awkwardly, Bell!
"Ranni?" a oddly familiar voice said.
I looked up. "Jared?"
My ex-boyfriend was standing right there, a few feet away from me.
-Flashback-
I walked to my locker, slowly, avoiding all the stares. Who wouldn't stare at me? I have a big mark with dried blood on my face from when Mark hit me with a frying pan.
"Babes!" I heard Jared call after me. I smiled.
"H-hey Jared."
Jared gently took my face in his hands and examined the cut. "What happened?"
"I....he...When I walked downstairs.....a girl saw my scars and stormed out....so he hit me....with a pan....because he lost a lay again." I breathed out.
"How about we go on a date, tonight?"
"What time will I be back home?" I asked, pushing my glasses up on my face.
"Mark gets off at seven, right?" Jared asked. I nodded. "You'll be home by six."
The bell rung and I finally got my books a went to class.

The day went by fast. Next thing I know, I'm in Jared's car, going to our date.
"Will you tell me where we're going?" I asked him.
He shook his. "Just sit back and relax and wait."
Soon, we pulled up to a beautiful field of flowers.
"It's so pretty." I gasped.
"Then let's get out." He got out of the car and I followed.
We talked about the flowers and how pretty they are for a while.
"You wanna go pick some flowers?" Jared asked when he noticed I kept looking at the flowers.
I nodded rapidly. He motioned for me to go on, so I did. I picked a few white roses and sat in the grass and made a crown.
I walked back over to Jared, still staring at the rose crown. "Jared, thanks for taking me here. It means a.......lot.." I stopped talking as tears filled my eyes at the scene.
He was holding the school slut, Jessica and was kissing her. They pulled apart, laughing at me.
"You actually thought I cared about you? Honestly! Why would anyone care? You're pathetic and can't even defend yourself. You're weak. Jessica here is the opposite of you. She perfect." Jared laughed at me.
I started run past them when something caught my foot and I landed in some mud. I was covered.
"Have a nice day, loser!" laughed the slut as tears trailed down my face.
-End of Flashback-
"What are you doing here?" he asked, disgust laced in voice.
I didn't answer. I just kept looking down at my feet.
"What is she doing here?" Jessica's voice rang through the house. My head snapped up.
Jessica stood not to far from Jared, wearing a tube top that showed a lot her little bit of cleavage, short short short shorts. And to top it off, 5" pumps.
"Jessica! Don't make me kick you your little slutish ass right now! 'Cause you know I will do it." Bell warned.
"All I asked is why this loser is here?" Jessica scoffed.
Xavier let out a low, animalistic growl. I jumped.
"Oh calm down you big baby!" Bell glared. "Before I get the magazine."
He glared at her and she glared right back.
"Who's gonna to take the trash out?" Jessica motioned to me. "Because I don't want to get my new pedicure messed up."
"Come on, Rain." Bell grabbed my hand and dragged me away.
30 minutes later
I had just told Bell about what happened the day Jared broke up with me. She was so mad.
"That was such a dick move! I'm gonna kick his ass! Ugh, that son of a bitch!" she exclaimed.
"B-bell, it's a-alright. I-I-I'm over it." I told her, slightly lying.
Bell's face went from past pissed to sad and caring. "Okay. I have to go. I'll be back later. When you hear three knocks, you will know." she said ,playfully wisely and left the house.
Bella's P.o.V (oh, you didn't expect that!)
I walked back into the pack house and almost yelled at what I saw.
Xavier had Jared pinned against the wall by his neck. Jared's face was bruised and battered. Xavier's eyes were darker than night and I knew he was ready to go wolf.
I have to think of options quickly before someone dies. I can't bring Ranni over here to calm Xavier, she's only human and I can't fight him.
"How dare you disrespect my mate?" Xavier growled.
Jessica kept crying and squealing. "Please Alpha, let him down!" she cried.
"Alpha, just put him down." I said softly. He ignored me. HE JUST FUCKING IGNORED ME!
"Babe, go get Ranni." Lucas said.
"No! She's human and I don't want to scare my bestfriend away!" I yelled.
"She's the only thing that can calm him down!" he said.
Sighing, I ran out the house to go get Ranni.
