Natsu POV

I smiled at 'Daughter'. She was so beautiful. But she was Queen plus I was Gay as HELL. The whole pod knew I was. They also knew 'Daughter' was BI. They didn't mind. Around here sexuality didnt matter. Basically you could fuck just about whoever you wanted in the pod. We all learned that at a young age. First thing you learn about is Sex. And thats when you turn 3. For a human they wouldn't understand but for us merfolk? Oh hell yeah we knew what it was. We were taught about it by a sex demonstration ceremony when you turn 3. It was something not weird at all. It's something you look forward to.

But here's the catch about our society. You gain respect by fucking or broadcasting that you've been fucked. The more the better.

The most shameful thing you can be is....a virgin.

And unfortunately....I was one.

I just was different. Because I wasn't just gay. I was gay loyal. Meaning I'd only want to ever fuck one person and have that person fuck me.

Basically...I was looking for a mate. And that art had been dead for centuries. But Queen(Daughter)...she told me the same. That's what she would want too. But she had fucked others in her lifetime.

She was also different because she also was a loyal except for one tiny detail...she wanted to keep it to two people stricly. She wanted two to herself and them to have her exclusively to them. Basically a poly relationship. Another dead art.

We both wanted mates. She wanted two mates who were loyal to her. And I? I wanted one singular mate that would be loyal to me.

Ive read in books abouts and how to find them. In the Pod. That feeling never happened. No matter whose eyes I met.

I wonder at this point if there would be any hope?

I turned my attention back to 'Daughter'.

"I brought you this! I dove DEEP for it! In fact been searching for one for months and I found one!!" I cried out enthusiastically. 'Daughter' chuckled.

"Show me young prince."

She smiled. I laughed and nodded. I held out my hand. If she's pleased with it...itll be able to boost her power and I'll be able to stay by her side forever. I thought. That's what the book said. I opened it and dropped the object in her hand.

She began to glow brighter as soon as the obeject hit her skin.

She looked at it in startled shock.

"Are you pleased 'Daughter'?"

"This is a pearl!" She cried out enthusiastically. "Haha! Yes! Yes I'm pleased! VERY pleased!!"

Her arms engulfed me and I laughed. She pulled back and pressed the pearl to her skin between the collarbone. The skin stretched and accepted the pearl. It glowed brightly and she beamed at me as her whole body had silversugar gathering on it twice as much. She'd be more sustained now. Afterall she was the 'Daughter of the moon'.

"All hail the forever prince!"

"The chosen one!"

"Congratulations!"

"Praise be!"

Came the calls. To them I was going to be by her side forever. But somehow...my heart knew...one day she WOULD be taken from me. But for now...let it be forever.

'Daughter' stood up and ruffled my hair. She looked me in the eyes and said.

"I also have brought you a gift that I hope pleases you."

I looked at her quizzically. Normally 'Daughter' didn't give gifts. She just recieved. That was normal. She suddenly turned and shouted.

"Gray! Come here!"

My eyes widened. Gray? As in the stange boy I met today?

A bluish black haired boy stepped into the center of the beach. I saw him gulp. Then I noticed how uncomfortable her was around us. Was he even our kind? We normally know our kind. So why-? I gasped seeing his mouth. I walked closer. I noticed he was shaking. He was fighting something. Something strong. I stopped 8 feet away. His eyes though...he had crescent shapes in them and they were going from red to blue. Red to blue. The Crescent stayed in them the whole time. I lost my cool as I saw his lips shift and long fangs pop out.

"You brought a VAMPIRE to the Pod's beach!?" I shrieked at 'Daughter' as the rest of the Pod backed away from Gray. 'Daughter' seemed unbothered by it.

She walked right up to my side and smirked.

"He's what you wanted right?"

"No! He's a Vamp!" I snarled in anger. "And it's a full moon!"

"Hmmm~ wonder why her hasnt gone rouge yet then. Tch~"

She said plainly. I was about to snap at her again but then her words sunk in. 'Hasnt gone rouge'. My eyes widened and I stared at him. I was about to speak outside of mertounge when he spoke to me and it shocked me.
(Btw all Italics in quotes are mertounge)

"Natsu...you hate me don't you? As a Vampire...that's understandable...youre a MER PRINCE after all. I understand your hate." He said in MERTOUNGE. Then he turned to 'Daughter' calling her a name I didn't recognize.
"Dove...thats you isn't it? And your not just a mer...are you?"

"No...Im not..."

"You're a Siren...unlike the others...from my observations."

"Yes I'm a Siren...the kind from your dreams...the kind that sings leading saliors to their deaths only to suck them dry. We're born once every 3 centeries. Males are even rarer~ So rare they're legend."

"Males?" Me and Gray asked in shock. I had never heard of that. A MALE siren.

"Mhm~ born once every 2000 years. Unless..........they find their MATE.
Then the mated pair can give birth two another male Siren.
Causing a lineage pattern to begin.
But THAT'S never happened. hehehe"

'Daughter' chuckled on the last bit then added.

"~till now~ that is."

Gray, myself, and the whole Pod were staring at her appalled by her words and her insinuations.

"Pray tell us 'Daughter'! Who is he?"

"Which out of the two is the Siren?"

"Pray tell!"

"Pray tell!"

She raised her hand to signal silence. The beach went quiet and before I could protest and say no way in fucking hell I was the Siren. I felt a shove into my back. I fell face first into two strong arms and all I heard from 'Daughter' was.

"The Prince will tell you the answer in a second."

I pulled back and looked up to apologize to whoever I had been shoved into and when I met their eyes I gasped. I felt it. The feeling from the book. But it was waaay stronger than the book described.

I felt electricity run through my veins. A giant thudding and banging in my heart. A euphoria in my brain. A tingling in my legs. And a tight gripping pull and almost bloating in my lower stomach.

The feeling faded and I reluctantly pulled out of the persons arms staring into their icy blue crescent patterned eyes. I answered everyone.

"The Siren...is MY MATE......................
GRAY FULLBUSTER."
