Christmas in the Lost Cities

There's a thing called christmas...

Sophie's POV:

Ahh...December! When I was in the Forbidden Cities, it used to be one of my favorite months. It didn't snow in San Diego but it does here!

I was sitting and the window with some moon cakes and staring outside the window. The snow was falling, covering the ground and trees in a snowy white blanket.

Snowflakes fell softly, falling on the outside of my window.

My favorite holdiay was Christmas.

When I was little, I loved Santa. I thought he left presents under the tree and in my stocking if we were good kids, and coal if we weren't.

That's how my human parents got me and Amy to behave during this month. We'd be super scared that we'd get coal, but we always got presents in the end.

I remeber putting gingerbread cookies and warm milk out for "santa" and crunchy carrots for his reindeer. We'd frost sugary cookies and decorate gingerbread houses.

But here in the Lost Cities, no one celebrated Christmas. Sometimes, we'd go out and make snowmen and go sledding, but most of the time, we didn't.

They didn't even have hot chocolate! Or candycanes! The best they had were peppermints.

I always was getting things from Grady and Edaline, espcially on my birthday, but elves didn't have any Christmas. 

The christmas carols were always annoying, espcially when her human dad sang along, but she her and Amy always were giggling in the end, and before bed each night, her human mom brang out hot chocolate with cookies.

I really wished they celebrated Christmas. It would be amazing if they did.

Biana's POV:

I was coming over to Sophie's with the rest of the group for fun. I spent ages deciding what to wear. After all, Dex would be there! He was kinda my crush.

He was adorable, with his messy strawberry blonde hair and perfect periwinkle eyes. 

Biana Dizznee. Sounds perfect, I sighed.

I finally chose an outfit. A cozy white tunic with a grey belt and black leggings with tall grey boots. I let my hair down and wove braids and twists into it and added a grey beanie with a white puff on top. 

I stared in my reflection. I'd usually put on layers of makeup but I didn't really reach for the mascara tube today.

I put on a bit of lip gloss and blush, but nothing else. I guess I wasn't as obsessed with make as I used to be.

"Hey Fitzyyyyy!" I yelled.

"What do you want now?"

"Too busy trying to look good for a certain someone?"

(Btw, sofitz hasn't gotten together.)

"Shut up!"

Fitz came out. "I'm here."

"Finally!" I pulled out my pathfinder.

"Havenfield!"

Linh's POV:

Me and Tam arrived a bit late, thanks to Princess Purryfins.

She wanted to come too, but I told her no, and she started a fight.

That took like 10 minutes, so when we arrived, Fitz, Biana, Dex, Marella, and Keefe were here.

"Hey guys!" Sophie said. "Want some cinnacreme or something?"

"Sure!" I said, grabbing a mug and sitting next to Biana.

We talked a little while and then Sophie suddenly said, "I have an idea!"

"Ooh, what's up?" Marella asked.

"Well, in the Forbidden Cities, we had this thing called Christmas..."

Dex's POV:

"Sounds fun!" I said, after she had explained. 

"Yeah, Soph, that's a great idea!" Fitz nodded his head in agreement.

"So how exactly does it work?" Marella asked.

"Uhh...let's start with secret santa."

"What's that?" Biana questioned. She looked so cute when she was confused.

Sophie grinned. "Never thought you'd ask! You put everyone's name in a box and then everybody pulls out a name and you have to buy a gift for them."

"Oh, neat! So I can get Fitzy a chandelier!" Keefe said with a smirk.

"No thank youuu!" Fitz groaned.

"Do it, do it!" Biana chanted, while Marella giggled.

Sophie rolled her eyes at them. "Well, sure, but we'll see who you get first!"

"Secret Santa it is!" Linh said.

Boy, what if I get Biana...
