I think what I really enjoy about the tips is that it doesn't force realism; If anything, it tells you the opposite. It really lets you push proportions, shape, body language, and so much more in a suggestive and fun way. After trying to find an impossibly perfect realism style for so long, I think I finally found my art style in silly cartoons and doodles- and I'm happy with it.
...Still gonna try for realism though, and character designs are going to go through hell before I'm satisfied, lol-
