Chapter 4: A shocking truth

Hinata's pov:

After weeks and days of me talking to Naruto we've actually been quite close. Not considering the time I blushed when hearing his name by Hanabi. I accidentally called him "Naruto-Kun" to Hanabi and she embarrassed me hard..

Today is the morning and is December 1st, and then I just realized how close my birthday even was till now! I quickly get my mittens and clothes to head to school and start doing my daily routine.

I quickly get out of the house of course telling Neji-San and Hanabi goodbye and have a good day to them and start walking slowly to the school. I figured since school starts at 8:00 am and it's 6:00 am at the moment is when I decided to get some knitting. I thought of making a scarf.

I quickly jog to the store yet I'm out of breath because I'm wearing too many layers! As I get into the store I see so many items that I'd like to get. It's 6:09 am and so I then started thinking of Naruto-kun. WAIT! I said Kun again?!

I started blushing once more and start turning red like a hot tomato when I see someone familiar...

Stranger: Hey uhh are you doing okay?

Hinata: huh? Oh-uh y-yes I-

I see Menma standing right infront of me and his blue ocean eyes staring into mine once again. I was completely shocked of seeing Menma out of school. I never really see him anywhere...

Hinata: Menma-Kun??? I never thought I'd see you here..

Menma: What's with the "Kun"? By the way I'm just here to get some knitting supplies

Hinata: W-well I mean we're friends right? You're a good friend to me Menma-kun which is why I'll call you that.

Menma: Well I mean yeah but we've hardly spoken to each other.. well I mean that's not what I meant but I didn't expect you to call me that.

Those words kinda hurt. Well I mean it is true but I just didn't wanna face that. I've never really fallen out of love with Menma-kun or Menma at all, he just feels a lot more neutral to me though.

Hinata: Menma, I'm perfectly fine if you don't want me to call you that and I'm actually getting knitting supplies as well.

Menma: Just call me "Menma-Kun" I'm fine with that..

Hinata: S-So naru- I-I MEAN Menma-Kun, what brings you here getting knitting supplies?

Menma: Naru? Well that's a first Hinata and I'm actually just getting it for an early Christmas present for someone important...

I wonder if he is getting the supplies for Sakura. She and him have been pretty close lately so I wouldn't be surprised so. But Sakura hates knitting? And she also hates scarfs as well so it probably might not be for Sakura-Chan..

Also nearly called Menma Naruto, which was so embarrassing to me! Menma just reminded me of Naruto.. and I just had to accidentally call him that..
