I'm alone. Well not really alone, my mom, dad and baby sister are in the next room, asleep, but I feel alone. It's my eleventh birthday today but mom and dad gave Lillian all the attention. I bet you they wouldn't even notice if I disappear. I bet no one will call out 'where is Liam?'. I am Liam Scrovinue and today I am going to tell you my story.

I was at school and my friend William told me this myth, a myth about a magic tin, this tin could take you to a different world, a world where you are taken to by a beast of dark, where you have to learn to survive, so the myth says. Fail to learn to survive and you will never return to the normal world. The world we know as earth.

William double dared me to try it. After school, we snook off the bus and went to a shopMac Arthur's Magic Supplies at Red Phoenix Feathers road. The man knew what we wanted straight away. “After a tin are we boys? Bit risky don't you think? You know what they say about these magic tins.”

“I love danger.” William says excitedly.

“And you?” He asks me, his greasy nose pointing towards me.

“Erm... erm yh I like danger.”

“Very well.” He hands a tin over. The box was made of tin; it was rusted, but the text on the lid was still faintly discernible. 'Mac Arthur's Magic Supplies. 50 Red Phoenix Feathers' the last word was unreadable “The instructions are inside” The man says pushing us out the door.

William and I went to my house, we went into the back garden where we cant be seen, and opened the tin. Inside was two piece of paper one read like a recipe 'Ingredients: 2 apple seeds, a twig, a handful of grass, 2 strands of dog fur and a piece of hair from the users hair.' William got the twig and grass while I took two apple seeds from mom's garden pack and gently cut two strands of fur from our dog Tillie. Putting the ingredients into the tin we read the next part of the paper 'place the ingredients into the tin, and set alight, before the fire goes out, say five times 'Goywin the beast take me away.' William pulled a lighter out of his pocket. “Ready?” He asks. I nod and watch as he lights the ingredients.

“Goywin the beast take me away.” We chanted. “Goywin the beast take me away. Goywin the beast take me away. Goywin the beast take me away.” I hesitated

“Goywin the beast take me away.” Shouts William “Hurry”

“Goywin the beast take me away.” I cried.

Nothing happened. I sighed in relieve. Mom sent William home at seven and I had dinner before going to bed. Now hear I am, in my room, in the dark alone, wide awake. I cant sleep. I hear him, he's coming for me, I can hear his hounds. No matter how many times I try to turn the light on, nothing happens, the door is locked, I cant move. I'm scared. I want my mom and dad but they cant hear me. Everything goes silent

I awake on a damp floor. “Move.” I hear someone shout. “Move unless you want to die.” I get up and look for the sound of the voice, it belongs to a girl, she cant be much older than me. Next to her is William, shaking. I run to them.

“Where are we?” I inquire.

“Goywin's world. Only way back is to survive and find a red ticket, it takes you to any world you want but can only be used once. The pink tickets takes you to one place you wish in this world. We must move a kolivin is near, you dont want them catching you.
