Thomas's POV
"Umm hey" she looked down "hey" I said motioning for her to bring a desk next to mine. "So what do we have to do" I asked "we have to write a 10 page short story on romance that's the topic we got" she said shyly."oh" was all I said.
"Why are you acting like that around me" I asked raising my eyebrow
"How" she squeaked still looking down. "Shy" I said and she raised her head to look at me while her cheeks turned red.At that moment it felt like a million butterflies were in my stomach. It felt weird but I simply just smiled back and said "you don't have to be shy around just act like you're talking to your friends" I said
"I don't have any friends" she said dryly. She looked serious. "Well from today we can be friends?" She looked surprised and said "won't you beat me up or something" she asked with a confused look."No I wont , so are we friends?" I asked
"Yea I guess so" she replied looking confused.
"So you have any ideas for the project" she asked "no I'm still thinking how about you" I replied

The bell rang signaling lunch break as I grabbed my lunch out of my locker and was making my way to the bleachers where I spent all my time outside of classes when I saw Sarah having lunch under a tree in the school's garden. She looks so cute I thought to myself and then I realised I was staring. I felt this strange feeling in my stomach but it felt good.
I made my way over to Sarah and said "mind if I join you" and she shook her head in response and I sat right next to her as I took a joint out of my pocket and lit it up. "What are you doing!" She said looking angry as I took a long pull from my joint.
"Smoking a joint" I replied with a smirk "well throw it away that stuff is bad for your lungs" she glared at me "fine then miss sassy pants" I said before throwing the half smoked joint away and then stuck my tongue out at her and we both laughed then it hit I realised I liked Sarah walker.
