When an ugly old man orders you to clean the court just by yourself because you are late for practice, you cannot do anything about it other than mumble drastic things about them to yourself. That strict coach that Venti hates so much just won't let him get a break. He's catching up with his academics since he's miserably failing in it because of the amount of time he has spent practicing volleyball for their upcoming game with another school.
It will be a huge help for their team if they win this match, there will be a possibility to get invited to a game where they fight off the tougher enemies which excites Venti so much. But on the other side - he has to take care of his academics or else he would not be allowed to join the game against another school.
Not to mention - that grumpy and heartless tutor of him! It was a shame that he had to be tutored by someone the same age as him, he should be outshining everyone, not get taught by some short teal-haired cranky annoying man.
"Hello, my name is Venti. I hope we can get through with this," he says with a cheeky smile and a hint of confidence. The boy only nods before opening the book.
That was kinda rude.
After a few hours of teaching Venti maths, the boy finally snaps. "I can not deal with your enthusiasm. Go teach yourself some math, I didn't even volunteer for this."
"Excuse me? How mean! Is it my fault that you had been picked to become my tutor? I thought I was just overthinking when I started feeling you were rude."
"What? Is it my fault you fail as a student?"
"What would you know anyway? I am a volleyball player, I have sacrificed so many time at the court that I cannot seem to fix my grades."
"That's what I hate about athletes. They waste their time into something that wouldn't even benefit them in the future, someday they're just gonna be an old, and crusty person who cannot do anything except for resting in their little bed."
"Stop underestimating us. We all have our own dreams and we do everything for it, a man like you who spends his time isolating his self from other people does not have any right to give me criticism about my passion." He wipes his nose before standing up and leaving.
Ugh. Just thinking about his little bangs that frame his wicked face irritates Venti so much. I mean how could Venti not? He doesn't even know how volleyball impacts to Venti.
Speaking of that tutor, or should we call - Xiao. Venti has another tutor session later and it makes his blood boil. He's been messing up as a student and is slowly messing up as a player. He usually slacks of, gets late and gets tired easily. This is because of how much works Xiao gives him! He was supposed to be Venti's tutor, not his teacher. He's giving Venti homework so he can reflect on all the things he has learned, or if he even learned anything at all.
The teachers didn't do anything about it, instead, they were proud of Xiao for being responsible for his job. Is his job making Venti's life a living hell? Is his job making Venti's life miserable?
Venti often sleeps late just to finish all of the works that nasty bastard has given him. The used to be Venti's obliviousness for his academic status, is now an unawareness of his own health.
"Venti-senpai!" Venti hears from behind. Suddenly, a box of chocolates with a note was slammed in his chest as the cute girl stand right in front of his eyes. "Please take this! I know you're having a bad time." He grinned before taking the box from her hands, patting her head as if she was a dog waiting for its owner to do it for them. "Thank you, this flutters me." Her eyes spark while she burst into happiness.
