Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian were having their biggest fight since being married yet, and it was clearly showing, making the juniors uncomfortable and worried.

Currently, the couple was sitting in the dining hall, turned away from each other while Wei Wuxian obviously glared at the sky. Lan Wangji was also glaring, but he also seemed almost sad, and that's when Lan Sizhui knew, he would have to intervene.

"Baba, A-Die, what happened? I have never seen you both behaving like this before." he said, furrowing his eyebrows.

"..." the couple stayed silent, though they sneaked a glance at each other before turning away quickly once again.

"You know you can't ignore each other forever, right? It's already been 2 days!" Lan Jingyi piped up as he chomped through his Potatoes.

"I can." Wei Wuxian stated, frowning.

"You're literally sitting with your back against his back. You're SCREAMING for his attention." Jin Ling, who was staying over after a night hunt, stated, ignoring the looks his cousin gave him.

"What? It's true and you know it." he said, shrugging while adding some of Wei Wuxian's chilli sauce on his own food. Sizhui sighed.

"Baba, you know that A-Die will never open his mouth unless it's prompted. That's literally the reason why it took you your entire lives to realise he loved you back."

"Why do I always have to be the one to solve all the issues, huh? When I was protecting you from the world, it was Jiang Cheng who broke our brotherhood, yet even up until the temple incident, *I* was still the one that was supposed to bridge the gap. When I got abused by Jin Ling's grandmother, *I* was the one who was blamed for my and my mother's existence. When I walked into Cloud Recesses, the Old Goat blamed *me* for purely existing because of presumptions of my mother, presumtions he shouldn't have had in the first fucking place because of that stupid block of rules. Even fucking Lan Xichen called me Lan Zhan's biggest mistake. When will the world ever stop blaming my parents, my first family for bullshit we never did?!" Wei Wuxian exclaimed, and both the older Lans looked down, feeling guilty and ignoring the rules about cursing just for once.

"And now you're telling me that the fact that Lan Zhan didn't confess early on was due to *me* not asking him if he loved me from the start? When am I ever going to stop running into emotionally stunted people who blame everything on me before they even stop to think about what *I* feel?" There was pin drop silence, and then after Wei Wuxian calmed down, he got up and turned to stare at Lan Wangji, who was already staring at him with wide eyes.

"You know exactly what you did. I'm not going to be the first one to talk this time, Hanguang-Jun." Wei Wuxian spat at his husband, then turned around and walked off.

"...Da-jiu was abused by grandma?" Jin Ling whispered, looking horrified.

"...from what I understand, by almost the entire family, in some or the other form. It was only the old Sect Madam and your uncle's abuse that left marks on his body." Lan Xichen whispered. Jin Ling's voice broke, tears threatening to stream down his eyes as he suddenly got up and ran out of the room.

"A-Die, what are you going to do?" Lan Sizhui asked once again. Lan Wangji's expression looked broken.

"There's nothing I can do. I've ruined everything. I don't deserve him..." Lan Wangji whispered, blinking back his own tears as he also got up and walked off in the opposite direction from where his husband had gone.

Lan Sizhui sighed, trying to finish his meal in peace before going to talk to his parents. Just as he was finishing his meal, his token glowed purple, signalling that the Jiang Sect Leader had arrived at the gate, and he paused to wonder what exactly had Jin Ling done, and would it require protection for his Baba.
