"You're smoking again?"

They both pulled up to the bar where Sparkling worked.
"My shift starts in about twenty minutes. So we can go and just get a drink for now."
Herb nodded. They opened the doors of the car, and began walking up towards the building. Sparkling knocked on the door, it was locked since the bar didn't open for another half an hour.
"You're early." The bar manager said.
Sparkling laughed. "Yeah..." He looked at Herb. "This is my- friend. Could he come in? He's staying with me tonight so he's got nothing better to do."
The bar manager just rolled his eyes. "Come on in then."
They both walked through the doors and sat down on the stools by the bar.
"Do you want anything to drink, Herb?"
Herb laughed "Uhh. I'll have what I always get, if that's okay."
Sparkling looked at the smaller man. "Fine, But i'm only serving you three tonight, after that i'm only serving you non-alcoholic drinks."
"Fair enough. Said Herb. He opened his phone, as it unlocked he saw he had a message from Vampire cookie.

"Hey, Herb. Just checking you're alright. I know you stayed at Sparkling's last night, but I'd thought you'd be home by now."

He began typing back.

"Hey, Vamps. I'm okay dw, I'm staying at Sparkling's again tonight"

Vampire didn't even bother typing back, He didn't want to know what they were up to. "Well, Herb," Sparkling said as he passed Herb his drink. "Here you go. I mixed it with Lemonade so it wasn't as strong."
Herb scoffed. "Really?"
"Yes, I'm looking after you. It's my duty as your boyfriend."
Herb took the drink, and was blushing a hell of a lot. "I'm so glad you're looking out for me, what would I do if you weren't here." He laughed.
Sparkling served a few more customers, and Herb finished his drink. They looked over to the door and their friend Espresso walked in. He walked over to the bar.
"What's up my man!" Sparkling exclaimed.
Espresso chuckled. "Not much."
Herb took the last sip of his drink. "Is Vamps not with you?"
"No, unfortunately. He said he was busy tonight, or something like that." Espresso sat down next to herb at the bar.

*A/N, in this AU, Vamps and Espresso are dating. fight me.*

"Well," Asked Sparkling. "Would you like anything to drink?"
"Sure! Do you have any just regular beer?"
"What kind of fucking question is that?" Sparkling began pouring the drink from the tap, then slammed it on the table in front of Espresso.  "Here."
"Thank you." Espresso grabbed the drink and began to slowly sip it.
"Sparklingg" Whined Herb, "Could I have another drinkk?"
Sparkling rolled his eyes. "Only one more after this, and that's it."
"Okayy" He whined again, and began frowning like a child.
"Seriously, Herb. You're Twenty-Fucking-Three." Sparkling rolled his eyes again as he began pouring the short man's drink.
"You love me, though." smiled herb.
"I do, a lot. Now take your fucking drink and stop acting like a child." He slammed the drink on the table and went back to serving another customer.
"Damn, you seem to have pissed him right off." Scoffed Espresso.
"Nah, he's just teasing."

"Plus I gave him a BJ less than 2 hours ago, He can't be mad."
"Oooh." Espresso looked at the ground. "Vamps hasn't really been as sexually active recently than he usually is. I'm not sure why, maybe i'm not satisfying him anymore."
Herb thought for a bit. "I'm sure you are, maybe he wants to try something new, have you asked him?"
"I didn't think of that. I'll ask him when i'm around next."

"Hey uhh, Sparkling." Herb looked over at the blonde.
"Yeah?"
"I'm- uhh going out to the beer garden to get some fresh air. Is that okay?"
"Sure, just don't be long, My shift finishes in an hour and I don't want to be waiting around.
Herb walked out of the bar, and into the beer garden.

There was no one in the garden. He walked over to the corner where there was patio and a shelter. He rummaged around in his coat pocket and pulled out a little plastic bag, which contained a small amount of cannabis. He rolled it up in cigarette paper and sighed. "I fucking needed this."
He lit the blunt and put it in his mouth, taking a small puff.

*BACK IN THE BAR*

"Hey Sparkling." Said Espresso. "Herb's been out there for almost ten minutes now. Are you sure he's okay?"
Sparkling's face turned into a concerned scowl. "I'll go check on him."
Sparkling left the counter, and walked towards the entrance to the beer garden. He opened the door.
"Hey Herb, are you oka- Ew, what is that smell?"
He looked over to the patio, and to see Herb standing there, lit smoke in hand.
"Oh my god, Herb." He walked over to him. "Hey, you said you were sober. How come you're smoking again?"
Herb sighed and took another puff of the blunt. "I'm sorry. I thought I was going to stay sober, but I just got the craving and-" He sighed, "I'm sorry."
"No," Sparkling said, pulling herb into an embrace. "I'm not mad at you. I just wish you'd told me you we're smoking again." He kissed his head. "Were you high when, You know, last night happened?"
"No, I don't think so." Herb said and he finished off the blunt, throwing it on the ground and stepping on it to put it out. "I had one just after I finished at the garden centre, but by the time we did it, it was like 6 hours later."
Sparkling just shook his head. "Well, we can't change it now, let's just go back inside and we'll talk about it when we get home."
Herb nodded and followed Sparkling back into the bar.
Sparkling's shift would finish in 20 minutes, and then they could go home and chill out.
Sparkling served a few more customers and Herb finished his drink.
"Hey guys," Espresso said. "I'm gonna head home, see you both later!" He patted Herb on the head and began to walk out of the bar.
"Bye!" Both Sparkling and herb said in sync as he walked out.
"Well," Sparkling looked at the clock. "My shift if officially over"
Herb nodded. "Right then. Should we head home?"
Sparkling agreed and they walked out of the bar and towards Sparkling's car.

*2 HOURS LATER*
They were both sat on sparkling's couch, watching a movie. Herb was laid down, almost falling asleep. All of a sudden he sat up. "Hey, Sparkling?"
Sparkling looked up. "Hmm?"
"Can we like, uhh... Have sex?"
Sparkling shook his head. "I'm not going to fuck you while you're high, Herb."
"But- I'm not even high anymore, I promise."
"I'm still not taking any chances. How about we go to sleep instead?" Sparkling kissed his boyfriend on the forehead.
"But it's only 10pm" Herb frowned.
"I know, but we were up late last night, and you look shattered."
Herb sighed. "Alright then."
Sparkling stood up and walked over to his bedroom. "You coming?"
Herb nodded and followed him in. They took both of their trousers off, leaving them in just their underwear, It was comfier that way.
They got into bed, and Sparkling wrapped his arms around the smaller man's frame.
"Goodnight, Love."
"Goodnight."
