Roxana May Barton, or Roxy, and her twin brother Elijah Cole Barton, Eli, are fifteen years old, and have been living in Sydney, Australia since they were five. (Their birthday is January 2nd, 1996.) Their older brother, Theodore, moved back to France to live with their Dad when their Mother got remarried. Their Mother and Stepfather are never home because they are too busy with work and traveling, so the twins are often left alone being watched over by their neighbour Liz Hemmings. Eli is a shy, quiet, smart kid and Roxy is loud, outspoken and doesn’t like school, she’d rather party with her friends. Eli does his best to avoid trouble while Roxy seems to go looking for it. Eli has been friend’s with Liz’s son, Luke, since they were little and so was Roxy before she started hanging out with a bad crowd. Eli get’s along with Luke’s friends and Roxy hates all of them, she avoids them as much as possible. But when her world comes to a halt, she'll find out blood doesn't always mean family.
