On Monday, after volunteering, I sat in the same row as usual. However, this time my row was full of boys. I sat, leaving one spare seat as I didn't want to sit too close to them. I didn't notice anything strange. When the lecture finished, I went to the toilet, and when I came back, I saw a new guy sitting in that spare seat that I left empty. I thought maybe he's friends with all those guys. For a tiny second, I thought, what if this guy sat there because of me. But I told myself straight away that it's nonsense, and I forgot about it. I tried not to look at him. However, I saw how he ripped a piece of paper out of his notebook and wrote something on it. I don't know why, but I thought how nice would it be if a guy gave me a piece of paper to ask my name or something similar. I really tried not to think about it as it happens only in movies, and I live in the real world. It convinced myself that it couldn't happen to me.
When half an hour passed, a guy carefully put the same piece of paper that I noticed at the beginning on my lap. My heart started to beat so fast as never before. My hands started shaking. I took that piece of paper and read 'Phone number?'. 'Oh my god, It's really happening to me!' I thought. I was so confused and shocked. I didn't know what to write back. For the whole minute, I just sat there looking at the tutor. I couldn't hear a word he was saying. All I could think of 'What to do?'. My brain started to work very fast going over the response phrases. I was thinking, 'If I say no, it's going to look too rude. If I say yes, it will be too easy for him' and suddenly came up with an idea. I took that piece of paper and wrote 'Maybe next time'. I turned to him with a smile looking straight into his eyes, and returned my reply to the guy that was trying to hit on me. He read the note and looked very confused. I believed this story would end on this note; however, it was only a beginning... Nothing goes according to plan.
