[A.N. Right after I wrote the epilogue for this book I wrote a scene about Tori in University, mostly for myself and I just left it there. Then a few weeks ago I remembered it and I decided to add a little more to it, and make it an extra one shot, so that's what this is.
If it's been a while since you finished this book I recommend you read the epilogue again, or you won't understand much.
I hope you like it!
And before you ask, no, I won't write a book about Tori, this is all you're getting]TORI
It was Friday night and unlike many other people from her building, Tori was in her room studying instead of partying.
She sometimes wondered what had possessed her when she made the decision to study law, because it was exhausting and hard, and she knew it was not going to get any easier.
Tori stretched her arms over her head as she yawned, and decided she was going to go the kitchen to make herself a cup of coffee, but that was when there a knock on her door.
She was pretty sure it was Florence, who lived in the room next to hers, and they had become friends pretty fast. Flo was studying Economics, and for some reason she always found time to go out and tried to convince Tori to go out with her. But Tori didn't go out as much, wanting to focus as much as possible in her studies, she really wanted to do well and make her parents proud.
But when she opened the door, she realized it wasn't Florence, it was Oscar, aka Lizzie's older brother.
He had actually gotten into Cambridge the year before Tori did, but he took a year off to 'figure out stuff', and now he was on his first year, just like Tori, but he was doing an engineering program.
"What are you doing here?" Tori asked him.
"I wanted to see you" Oscar replied.
"Why?" Tori asked, trying to make it sound like she didn't care.
"Because I haven't seen you since last week, and when I saw you then you basically ignored me" Oscar explained.
"I said hi" Tori told him.
"And then you walked away".
"I was on my way to class" Tori said honestly "And I'm busy now too".
"Are you going out?" Oscar asked, giving Tori a confused look, probably because she was wearing sweatpants and a hoodie, and her hair was up in a messy bun.
"No, I'm studying" Tori said and now she crossed her arms.
"It's Friday night, Tori" Oscar pointed out.
"So?" Tori dared.
"Can we have a proper conversation" Oscar suddenly asked.
"Isn't that what we're doing?".
"Not exactly" Oscar considered " Can I come in?".
"Fine" Tori allowed, and let him inside her room.
Oscar walked in, and he sat down on Tori's bed, and after she closed the door, she went to sit on her desk chair, it was safer that way.
"So why have you been ignoring me?" Oscar asked.
"Why have I been ignoring you?" Tori asked, feeling angry at this boy's audacity "You're the one who basically ghosted me".
"I didn't ghost you" Oscar frowned.
"Uhm, yes you did, you ignored all of my texts in December" Tori pointed out.
"It was finals, Tori" Oscar said dismissively.
