Our Secret (Latte X Almond)

Chapter 2

Latte POV:

I woke up in my house. Not next to Almond. I sighed. I put on my slippers and a robe and walked downstairs. 5:30 am on the dot, I needed to be at school today. On mondays through Wednesdays I am a teacher at the magic academy. The other days I'm at Almonds agency. Today is Wednesday which means last day of work till I see Almond again. After a few sips of my coffee, I heard some small footsteps as Cream Puff came down stairs in her night gown. "Hi sweetie. Want some pancakes?" I asked her. She nodded, yawning. A few minutes later, my brother Espresso, came down stairs, fully dressed. "hey sis." he said, deadpaned. Before I could say anything else, he left. 

A few hours later, I arrived at school, only to see Almond. And Walnut. "Hello!" I smiled. Cream Puff waved to Almond. "Hello Latte. Hi Cream Puff." He smiled. "What are you doing here hun?" I asked. "I enrolled Walnut here a while ago. I think she's In your class." He said. I just smiled. What could I say? Walnut threatened me? She told me horrible shit? She's not the angel you think she is? She's upset you banged me? Maybe not the last one but ya know. Almond walked off and Cream Puff and Walnut walked into the building. 

Walnut POV: 

I'm at school I guess. It's lunch and I'm sitting alone in a corner, building my plan. Latte is gonna pay for this. But how would daddy listen to me? I can't just say Latte hates me without evidence. It's gonna take work and brains, luckily I have both. Editing sound is easy I just need to gather voice tapes of Latte and edit them. Easy as pie. The problem is Cream Puff, aka Latte's adopted daughter. She's on my like a rash to be my best friend cause our parents know each other. Cream Puff is annoying. I hate her.

Cream Puff POV:

Walnut is awesome! I like her a lot!

Walnut POV:

Today, I voice recorded all my classes. Time to get to work. I did some easy editing with clips, now for sound. This was too easy. Getting rid of Latte will be done before I can blink. I used recorded sounds of her voice to make a conversation between us. Now I just need to show it to Daddy. Say goodbye Latte!

Almond POV:

Im in my office with the door shut and locked this time. After Walnut barged in, I can't take chances. We are making out again and Latte squirms like a bug. I heard a knock and we looked at each other as she hopped off my lap, quickly fixed her make up and pretended to be helping me with papers as I open the door. Walnut was looking up at me with the saddest little face I have ever seen.

"My baby what happened?!" I asked, crouching down to hug her. Latte also came over and crouched down asking if she was hurt or if she needed water or anything. God I love that woman. Walnut pointed at Latte. I was confused. "Why are you pointing at Latte?" I asked, still confused. "She said horrible things to me!" She wailed. "Did you?" I looked at Latte. "No! I would never!" She said. "Walnut you have to proof of this-" I said. "I do!" She wailed. Latte looked as confused as I was. She showed me a video of Latte saying she was only nice to Walnut because she wanted to get closer to me. I am shocked. Latte just stared and shook her head. "I would never say that." Latte stated sadly. I didn't know who to believe my little girl or my girl friend. 

"Believe me Almond! You know I would never say those things!" Latte cried. "She's lying daddy!" Walnut cried hysterically. I slammed my desk to signal shut up to the both of them. "Out." I pointed at the door. They looked at each other because I wasn't being clear on who I was talking too. "Out, Latte." I said sternly. She looked at me with those shiny glistening eyes, but Walnut always comes first. "But Almond-" I pointed to the door before she could finish her sentance. "OUT." I said again, with more of a threatened tone this time. 

I saw a tear roll down her face as she picked up her hat and spoon. She left silently while putting her hat on. I can't help to feel guilt, but Walnut is feeling better and feels safer now. My kid comes first.

Walnut POV:

Latte is gone. My dad fell for it hook line and sinker! As they say, I think? Now it's just me and daddy again! I can't help but feel happy!
