Mother Nature woe melancholy as her pale face dug into the earth. Miniscule atom bombs of fragile glass exploded against the rigged concrete. Among the mere jumble of fractured twigs and leaves, there lay a forsaken note soaked in all four corners that says...

'Beware of the gods' wrath whom they punish us for our sins.'

In an instant, the wheel ripped and dragged the note across the road into too confusing shapes. It was the thirteenth night on the late summer breeze; the asphalt road became a mirror reflecting the now replete void and the warm hues of streetlights above failed to mock the stars. As two glowing white suns penetrated the darkness, melancholy turned into fury. "Look, I'm sorry but I can't come over to their birthday tomorrow." his right hand rested steadily on the steering wheel as it was infected by a glowing blue tint underneath it, "It's just that I'm very busy with my night shift and it's been pretty heavy lately." Tonight's confusing weather seems lightly muted as the smooth radio echoed a catchy tune of Alcohol-Free, with little popstar figures of the most elegant Nayeon and Jihyo dancing happily on top of it. Distracted by a cute fox beanie deflated on the seat next to him, he sighed. "I'll talk to you later." the phone gently dropped away from his ear. The blinding screen bore a few small circles cuddled in a group of nine on top of a blurry background, among them was a clear text vaguely reading 'Sophie'. There, his thumb dragged the red circle icon across.

Honor had just arrived to the right destination; the beloved Range-fire home where he finally reunites with his two friends after a while. After the seatbelt unbuckled following with the chimes of keys, he zipped up his vividly pink waterproof jacket and enveloped the hood over his untidy mop of black and white hair. For a few seconds and passing, Honor contemplated a suspicion over the unusual state of the glass sliding door; it seems to be left wide open, and he knew deep in his heart that it shouldn't be open past eleven. People who are concerned over little things are overthinkers, a literal sliding door alone shouldn't bother anyone... or maybe it does?

Now now, this isn't the time to think over and over again ー let his thoughts halt to rest ー focus more on the light behind the opened door. Deep breath, hold it in and let it out. The flakes settled down in the snow globe. Three. Two. One.

BANG!

Too quick. Too bright. Too loud. Mother Nature's furious this time.

The clear shells of a hundred thousand bullets had softened; it tried too hard to flood over the pearly marble floor. The clouds' stomach grumbled in hunger and the lightbulb blinked in disgust. The dark gray watercolor of the sky growled in denial, the shadows stood still.

It's too cold...

Honor's jacket didn't do any justice as he folded his arms into an easy overlapping cross and dug it against his chest.  Bump, bump, bump, his worried heart cried. He should kept his breath calm, but it was shattered and fallen like an abandoned fractured window. Shh, shh, shh, his silent hush whispered. The mud smothered soles of his forest green sneakers refused to give way to the melted mirror swirling like drowning snakes, offering them deadly poison that they will soon submerge into. It seems that every single thing surrounding him had just been devoured by the abyss of nothingness ー the recklessly blinking light bulb was the only headlight of the night, swinging and swinging as if someone was trying to escape asphyxiation. Suddenly, a perfect circle broke its brightness down; the skinniest hand froze on the last line, the longest hand froze on the last line, the shortest hand froze on the last line, barely reaching its little fingers to the first line of the revolution.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick.

The clock clicked its tongue; Honor would never understood what he just stepped into - a sudden recurring memory is ready to crash into his feeble mind.
