Team Flash: Adventures of Olivia and Cisco

Chapter 5- Sleep over

"Seriously, these metas don't seem to be decreasing in number at all" Cisco sighed as he slumped in his chair in the cortex.
"Caitlin got any aspirin? The last time I had a head ache this big and felt this tired was when I snuck out for a sleep over in high school" Iris said. Barry chuckled at the memory " The one at Suzie's house. You didn't sleep all night and still had to sneak back in"
"Dad was not happy" Iris laughed. Caitlin returned and gave her the pills.
"What's a sleep over?" Liv asked
"Oh man.." Cisco said in shock " I know things were bad but you've never ever had a sleep over?". Liv shook her head. " I mean we were out to assassinate people and dominate the world.. so yeah black hole wasn't the evil organization to arrange sleep overs"
"A sleep over is when a friend hosts other friends in their home over the night" Cisco explained
"Doesn't make any sense. Why leave the comfort of home to sleep in the comfort of another person's home..with other people?"
"See they gather and have fun. Play games, eat snacks and all that stuff " Caitlin said.
"Still don't get it" she shrugged and left. The team gave themselves knowing looks...
That night (8pm)..
Liv got home from work at Mercury labs. She opened her door to a huge surprise. Barry, Cisco, Iris and Caitlin were in her living room with sleeping bags and blankets.
"What's going on here?" She asked
"Well, since you've never had a sleep over before ,we decided to throw you one" Cisco explained
"Yeah, the whole deal! We got snacks and movies..." Barry said and Liv noticed duffel bags, stacks of movies and snacks.
"We hope you don't mind"
"Of course not Caitlin. Guys, this means so much.. but aren't we a little too old for.."
"Oh please. I think we can all establish by now that team flash is anything but mature" Iris said and everyone agreed in laughter.
"Well..before I agree to this" Liv teased "are there any..?"
"..Gotcha covered..in 3..2..." Cisco said as the door bell rang.
"Hope I'm not late" Ralph smiled as Liv opened the door.
"You're right on time" she squealed as she noticed the chocolate chip cookies in his hands. So the party began....
"Yo, Liv hit me again" Cisco said as he raised two kabobs over his head. She blasted her light bolt at them till they were roasted to perfection. "That's what I'm talking about "
"Is that even safe?" Iris asked
"Oh Iris, since when is using lasers indoors ever safe?" Cisco laughed
"Alright let's play a game" Caitlin suggested " Frost says she's getting bored"
"Truth or dare" Ralph suggested
"How about 'would you rather' ?" Liv asked.
"The hostess has spoken" Cisco playfully announced. They sat in a circle with a bottle in the center. They took turns spinning.
"Barry, would you rather..be stranded on a desert island with Oliver or Batman?" Caitlin asked
"Oliver. Afterall he survived Lian Yu for years" Barry replied.
"Iris, would you rather fight Grodd or save Ralph from drowning "
"Oh I'd definitely take on the gorilla"
"Hey!" Ralph protested
"Liv,would you rather kiss Ralph or admit Harry is smarter than you"
"I'd rather die" Liv deadpanned and everyone laughed.
"OK, next game..we'll each pick a card and give horrible puns related to it and you have to get a laugh out of it" Caitlin said as she placed the cards on the table.
"I'm guessing this was Frost's idea? Barry laughed.
Barry picked a card and stood in front of everyone
"My card says..Titration" he pondered hard.."ohh I got one.. Roses are red, bromophenol is blue, there is no end point to my love for you " everyone groaned and threw popcorn at him.
Ralph's card read detective
"What do you get when you cross a detective with an electrician? Sherlock ohms"
"Booo" they yelled and threw chips at him.
Iris's word was Algebra
"Relationships help us understand algebra, you think of your X and wonder Y" . There were chuckles but no irritation. "Yes I've come the closest" she cheered.
Caitlin's card read Cold
"I froze myself to absolute zero but don't worry I'm OK"
"I don't get it" Ralph and Iris said
"Absolute zero is the coldest temperature, it's zero Kelvin.. OK..K for kelvin" Liv explained. Caitlin was still booed off.
Cisco's card read star wars
"If you are dating a girl that doesn't like star wars then you are looking for love in Alderaan places" everyone cringed a little.
Liv's card read Barry
"This'll be hard..hmm..why can't Barry take pics in a theater? No flash photography"
"Oh man..kill her!" Barry and Cisco yelled as popcorn and chips were projectiled at Liv.
"OK, how's this..I'll say a name and you guys try to guess the word on my mind" Iris suggested. The spun the bottle and got their turns.
"OK.. umm..Ralph" Barry said
"Detective" Iris prompted
"Handsome" Ralph grinned
"Disorganized" Liv said
"Reckless" Cisco added
"Silly putty" Caitlin said
"Ding ding! The point goes to Caitlin " Barry announced and Ralph glared at him.
"Umm..Barry" Caitlin said as it was her turn
"Nerd..speedster..Rookie" Ralph yelled
"Superhero...forensist" Cisco said
"Flash" Iris said
"Softie" Liv giggled
"Ding! Ding! points to Liv"
"I'm not a softie" Barry protested
"Yes you are" Iris cooed and the others nodded in affirmative
"Liv" Iris said
"Savvy..photon..light" Ralph said
"Bubbly.. colourful" Caitlin said
"Over confident" Barry joked and Liv shoved him
"Cute, pretty, umm..loveable" Cisco pitched in
"Well..no the word was.. blonde. But pretty works too Cisco " Iris smirked and Liv blushed to her toes.
"OK...Cisco" Liv said during her turn
"Mechanical Genius" Barry said
"Shortie..overly long hair" Ralph added
"Engineer..vibe" Iris said
"Best hacker in the world" Caitlin laughed
"None of you got it. The word is Tech nerd " Liv laughed
"So Cisco when you think Liv you think..loveable, pretty.." Caitlin teased
"Shut up" He growled and tackled her with a pillow. It turned to a full on pillow fight. They all felt a heavy hit of pillows simultaneously
"The speedster always wins!" Barry announced and Liv tackled him.
Further into the night, most of the snacks were gone and they had watched three different movies. Soon enough everyone was tucked in and asleep while a movie kept playing.
