(Y/N POV Present Time)

"Dad, what do you mean mom didn't like pirates? Wasn't she a pirate just like you?" Bella, Nami's daughter, was confused by this new information about her mother. We named her Bella in remembrance of Bellemere.

I looked at Nami for confirmation that it was okay to explain.

"I'll be fine." Nami confirmed with a passionate kiss after noticing the worry on my face. After separating I could see some of the other women anxiously waiting their turn, i.e. Roxane and Baby 5.

"A certain pirate did something very bad to her, so she didn't like any pirates back then." I tried not to say anything that would ruin part of the story.

"You don't have to be so careful with your words, you know that, right?" Nojiko pointed out as she laid her head on my shoulder while I resisted the urge to grab her ass.

"So mom was racist." Before I could respond to Nojiko the room went dead silent as the adults turned to stare at Bella.

"My sweet, sweet cinnamon roll. What do you think the word racist means?" I said while trying, and mostly succeeding, in holding back a laugh. Only to get lightly smacked by Nami for accidentally letting out a chuckle.

"Ms. Anderson told me it's someone who judges a group of people based on the actions of the few." Bella said triumphantly, which was both adorable and hilariously wrong.

"Baby, that's not exactly right." Makino put Tack down on the couch and went over to the small child and kneeled down to her level.

"What do you mean?" Bella didn't understand how what she said was wrong.

"Well you see. A racist is someone who has a dislike for another race either because they are from another race other than theirs. Or, because of the actions of a few, they have a disdain for their entire race, because they believe that all of them are the same. Does that make sense?" Makino tried to explain it the best she could so that a child could understand.

"I think so." Bella didn't sound very convincing though.

"Bella, racism against races like: Fishmen, the Snake Necks, the Three-Eyes, the Longlegs, the Longarms, the Minks, and so on. However, pirates are not a race, which means it's not racist." Nami explained as she got off me and picked Bella up.

"So Ms. Anderson lied to me." Bella asked with teary eyes.

"I wouldn't say that." Nami said, bobbing the sobbing girl up and down in her arms.

"It's more like she didn't know what she was talking about." Lyra interjected.

"Really." Bella sniffled as she wiped away her tears.

"Of course." Nami whispered kindly to her daughter, which looked like a miniature version of her.

Nami soon came back over and placed the 'mini her' on my chest and laid down next to me. I wiped away the tears that remained on her face. It never failed to warm my heart to see one of my kids go from a place of sadness to a place of happiness just because I was there. I guess now I know how Kyros felt when he was with Rebecca.

To my surprise all of the kids patiently waited for everything to calm down. And when Bella calmed down and eventually fell asleep from the emotional exhaustion and we still didn't continue the story, they said nothing. However what surprised me the most is what happened next.

"So then does everyone want to continue the story?" I only got NOs and the shaking of heads in response.

"No. We think we should wait for Bella to wake up first."
