Log #1TJ
Hello there. This is (DATA OVERRIDDEN) from IFO-273, and by the time of writing this, I am the last of my crew. Due to engine failures and damage to the cargo sector, our craft was pulled in by a nearby planet, which killed a majority of my co-workers trying to flee using the escape pods. When we touched down on the planet, I awoke only to discover that I was the only survivor of a doomed ship. Thankfully, this planet seems to have a sustainable source of oxygen, fauna, and flora, which I was able to scan using what was left of the ship's energy. As soon as I am done writing this log, I will venture out and try to scavenge supplies from the nearby wreckage. May God give me strength.
Log #2TJ
Approximately 2.3 hours after my last entry, I discovered something truly fascinating. The fauna on this planet was nothing like I had ever seen, ranging from huge scaly beasts to small multicolored insects. The flora contained multiple layers of sharp thorns protruding from their stems and trunks, said stems and the leaves of said flora clear, almost looking like a glass statue. I have taken multiple samples of the surrounding flora as well as supplies that I managed to find. I will continue to research and analyze these unusual organisms the best I can.
(There was a 72 hour period of no further updates to the list before #3TJ was made. Reasons for this are obscured, but hinted to in #3TJ)
Log #3TJ
Ever since I started my research, I discovered that the flora on this planet are not dependent on photosynthesis, rather they are dependent on most of the fauna scattered around the planet. I was experimenting with a short tree-like specimen with long leaves, when I noticed that said specimen had been approached by multiple creatures, said fauna made of a strange gelatinous substance with multiple organs visible. Further analysis of these creatures has led me to believe that both of these organisms sustain a symbiotic relationship with one another, as one of the organs that were visible, a long strand of flesh that is extracted from the creature, attaches to the plant for an as of yet unknown purpose, and in return, the plant offers protection from other creatures on the planet by digging a section of the ground beneath the gelatinous creatures and allowing them to reside underground beneath the plant for a limited amount of time that spans from 24 hours to 2 days. Further research is required to understand the purpose of this unknown organ.
