"There are people who would die for you?"

"Yes, and you could have that too, kid. You can have that, " Bucky's reply echoed through Peter's head. He could have that too. He could have that too.

That didn't matter, he was fighting for a cause. Hydra was important for the evolution of society. They are the future of the world. Even if Peter wanted to live like everybody else.

Even if he wanted a life with Dmitry.

This was more important and currently, Hydra wanted him to assassinate the traitorous 'Winter Soldier'.
So he had to do it. He had to kill James 'Bucky' Barnes.

"No, I can't," Peter replied, he was staring at the ground. "Maybe if I was like you. Maybe if I had a chance to live outside Hydra. But I never had that- I never had that chance. I grew up with Hydra. They are my life. They are my purpose. Without Hydra, I have nothing, nothing to serve or live for."

"You're a kid. You don't have to serve anything. You should be doing homework, not assassinating Avengers," Bucky sounded so sincere. He sounded like he truly meant what he said but Peter couldn't believe him. If that was true, if that was what he was supposed to be doing, why wasn't he?

Why was he, a 'kid', ending lives instead of 'doing homework'?
