This is kind of written as a voice over and it cuts to memories it will all come together in the end. You know ASL in this story. All of the flashbacks/memories are underlined and marked by * *
You met Natasha after the whole Ultron fiasco. You worked in a little coffee shop in New York and would frequently get avengers in as it was the closest to the tower.

"I'll have a latte" Natasha said
"Good choice" you said giving a friendly smile.

Every interaction was the same. She would come in at 12:30 every Wednesday and order the same drink. After a while you had developed some sort of crush on the black widow she was always so mysterious and let's be honest drop dead gorgeous.
One day you plucked up the courage to write your name and phone number on the cup with a small winking face.
Over the next year or so you became very close. Natasha went from only coming in on Wednesdays, to coming in nearly every day right before your lunch break; so you could talk to each other.
You had many late night...adventures together and one night she asked you to marry her. It was perfect, you went on a walk through Central Park and she suddenly stopped in-front of a water fountain

"Now, I don't exactly have permission from your dad and this may be too quick but I feel like if I didn't do this now it would never happen" she bent down on one knee and pulled out a small wooden box and opened it. "Y/n l/n will you marry me"

Then the 'Sokovia Accords' happened and that took your Natasha away from you. So you were left alone again. She promised to come back and lo and behold in 2017 there was a knock on the door.

"Oh my god!" You said excitedly. But then you remembered. the bugs. You quickly put your hand over her mouth before she could speak. She looked at you confused until you signed 'bugs. Listening' she nodded her head in understanding. You quickly grabbed a notebook and pen from the kitchen.
You wrote down:
'Why are you here people are looking for you?'
'I'm here to take you to a safe house'
'Why?'
'I wouldn't want to leave my fiancé behind now would I?'
You blushed at the smirk on her face then she quickly wrote down
'Get packed'

You stayed at that safe house with Natasha, Steve and Sam until 2018 when someone called thanos tore you and Natasha apart once again.
When thanos snapped and half of the population got wiped out Natasha's first thought was to call you to make sure you didn't turn to dust, like she seen so many people do.

"Hey this is y/n leave a message" your voicemail rang out. "Y/n it's Natasha please call me back. I need to know your still alive" Nat said into the phone with tears streaming down her face. Suddenly Steve walked through the door with y/n. Natasha immediately ran over to you in a hug. "I thought I lost you" Natasha mumbled into your neck. "It takes a lot more than a purple grape to get rid of me" you whispered back.

Luckily you were one of the ones to survive. Natasha got you to move into the compound so that she could be closer to you. You decided to devote your time to helping kids who's family's disappeared with the snap.
In 2021 you met a small 3 year old girl, called Rebecca, who's parents didn't want her anymore because she was deaf, so you and Natasha decided to adopt her.
She learned sign language and by the time she was 4 she was able to have a full conversation in ASL. You and Natasha were so proud of her.
When Nat first told you about the time travel plan you weren't convinced. But after a while you began to accept that this was the only way to bring everyone back.
You and Rebecca stayed in your room for it because it was only going to be a minute, right.

You hear a nock on your bedroom door, which was unusual as Natasha usually just walked in but you brushed it off. You got up and opened the door revealing a teary eyes Steve. "Steve, what's wrong? Where's Nat?" You frantically asked searching his eyes for answers and then I realised
She didn't make it back.
Tears threatened to spill but I knew I had to stay strong for Rebecca. "Mommy what's wrong?" Rebecca asked. I was frozen how are you supposed to tell a 5 year old that her mother just died. "Umm..." I started not knowing what to say "Rebecca stay in here I just have to talk to uncle Steve for a moment"

That was all you remembered from that day everything was a blur. After that day you left the compound, there were too many things that reminded you of her. One thing you did bring were her point shoes. You remembered when she tried to teach you ballet during the blip. Let's just say you never got the hang of it.
It was a good thing you left the compound when you did because the next day it was completely blown up and a raging battle was happening. Thanos had come back for revenge since the avengers reversed the blip. You didn't get much detail all you know is that Tony died while using the stone to wipe out Thanos's army.
You decided to attend Tony's funeral out of respect although you never really knew him all that well. You got to see Steve there which was nice. Over the years of the blip you and Steve had gotten close, he would always tell you story's from the war.
You were pulled from your thoughts by someone tugging at your arm. You look down to see Rebecca by your side and realise you've been standing in place for a while. You continue down the gravel path towards Natasha's grave.
'Where are we going' Rebecca signed. "We're going to see momma" you said while signing back to her. As you make it to the grave Rebecca looks at you questioningly.
Ignoring the stare for just a moment you reached into your bag and took out a clear box containing Natasha's point shoes. You then realised you can't keep putting this off, she deserves to know.
"Becca, momma had to go away." You signed as tears began to build in your eyes. "She flew up into the sky to a place called heaven. And she's going to stay there for a while."
With tears brimming her eyes she signed with shaker hands 'she left us.' The only thing you could do was nod your head as Rebecca burst into tears as you quickly picked her up and hugged her.
Once she calmed down enough to put her down you bent down and placed a light kiss on top of the stone and said good bye before making your way back up the path and to your car.
