26. Love Is In The Air

Ethan walks without any spirit like a wandering zombie. He is heading to his Cafe. It's morning time again. Time to open the Honey Cafe.

A week ago, he confessed his love to Yu Xiang. The guy said nothing to reply him. He just left.

It seems he wasn't ready to fall in love again.

Ethan sighs. He acted too hastily. He shouldn't confess when Hu Tao got sentenced to five years in jail.

There is no news from Yu Xiang. It seems he is avoiding him.

Ethan sighs. Well, he will move on. Maybe one day, he would find a decent gong and fall in love again.

Someone is playing a piano in the park. Maybe there is an event here. Ethan always walks through this park when heading for work.

He pauses walking.

It's Yu Xiang. He looks handsome in his black suit. He is playing a grand piano while singing his newly composed love song.

Ethan closes his eyes and enjoys the baritone voice sings his song. Yu Xiang is a good singer. Too bad he left the showbiz after what Hu Tao did.

The people applause after the performance is over.

Ethan opens his eyes again. He doesn't know when Yu Xiang has walked toward him.

Yu Xiang gives him a bouquet of red roses.

He confesses, "I've sworn never date anyone again in this life. So..."

He takes out a small box from his pocket. He opens it. There is a pairs of diamond rings in it.

Yu Xiang asks, "Will you marry me?"

Ethan begins to sob. He nods his head few times.

The crowds applause for them, cheering them for their successful wedding proposal. Few men sneer secretly. Probably just homophobics folks.

Ethan hugs Yu Xiang and weeps on his shoulder. Never in his wildest dream, he imagined such sweet wedding proposal in public.

Yu Xiang's die hard fans have been waiting for his new song for many years. They bombed his Weibo. Demanding his return to music industry again.

Jeff tries to call Yu Xiang few times.

The arrogant guy kept on rejecting his calls. He is busy smooching his soon to be wifey.

Jeff sends a text message, "If you're coming back to showbiz again, you should sign with me. I will arrange everything. Never let anyone harrased you again for your sexual orientation."

No reply.

Jeff calls Ethan. No one answers it too. He sighs. He better contacts them another day. Giving the new couple to celebrate in private first.

He checks items online. He doesn't know what to buy for them as a wedding gift.

He texts his boyfriend, "What to buy for newlyweds? My friend is getting married."

"Condoms."

Victor is probably busy right now. He doesn't answer anymore.

Jeff rolls his eyes.

My boyfriend wouldn't give his friends condoms, right? It felt like he's the owner of condom factory or something...

Jeff chuckles. He continues to shopping online. Maybe a pairs of golden necklaces will do. A thing for couples.

Meanwhile Jerome has rushed to hospital. His son has got injured after falling from a tree. Fortunately he only suffered light head concussion.

Shane is on duty today. He is rubbing some ointment to the bruises when Jerome arrives.

He comments, "You should find a responsible Nanny. This one is no good. She is calling her boyfriend. Totally neglected this naughty boy."

Jeremy is sulking. He wanted to take a kite got stuck on a tree. He usually got one easily. It had been raining. So the tree trunk was a bit slippery.

Jerome flicks his forehead.

He warns, "You are grounded, boy. No desserts for three days."

Shane chuckles because the boy looks dying at this moment. He has a face nothing to live for. He agreed with Jerome's method. No need for physical violence in teaching a kid about discipline.

Jerome sighs.

He laments,"It's so hard to find a good Nanny. She's the eleventh one in this year."

Shane glances at Jeremy. The boy is staring him with wide beady eyes. He looks like an abandoned puppy.

He pities Jeremy. His father is too busy at work. Hardly have anytime to spend with him.

Shane suggests, "Why don't you leave him at a day care after school? He could play with other kids. A friend of mine works there. I could ask her to keep an eye on him."

"Sounds good for me."

Jerome frowns again. His working schedule doesn't give him enough freedom. That's why he has been using a Nanny. He shakes his head.

"I'm afraid not. I don't have time to pick him up from school."

Shane looks down when he feels a tug on his shirt. Jeremy is pleading him with his eyes. Shane smiles and caresses his furry head.

He asks, "I could drive him to the daycare. It's on my way to work. How about it?"

"Won't it trouble you?"

"No problem. I like Jeremy."

The boy asks, "Dad, shouldn't you treat him dinner to thank him?"

Jerome chuckles. At home, this stinky boy has been urging him to date Shane. It seems he likes this male nurse a lot.

He asks, "Wanna go and eat hotpot? My treat."

"Okay. I will be off work at six."

"Good. We will pick you up by then."

Jerome and his son leave the hospital.

In the car, Jeremy nudges him.

The boy asks, "What are you going to wear? First date is very important. Don't dress too shabby. Must look handsome."

Jerome shakes his head. This kid got too many teen Nannies. Now he's advising him for his first date.

Jeremy complains, "Must make it a perfect date. First impression is very important. Go and nail your wifey."

Jerome coughs. His kid got worried he can't catch Shane. That's cute.

Shane is smiling a lot during work. His first date with Jerome+1. It's still a date. It's a good thing he kept spare clothes in his locker. He must look neat in his first date.
