"Okay class, we were meant to have a new student but it seems like she's not here" Mr Faint mumbled. Heads began turning as they scanned the room for a new face and soft murmurs settled over the class. I rolled my eyes and leant back. Mr Faint began talking about some useless math stuff when a small supply closet swung open and David, a school "Jock" stumbled out fiddling with his pants. "Oh uh, hi sir!" He stuttered. The teacher sent him a glare that sent the boy running. Everyone's eyes were now trained on the closet waiting for Madeline to strut out. But she didn't. Another girl skipped out and flopped in a seat beside me. "Sorry sir!" She chuckled. "I was a lil busy" she smirked. He glared at her but turned back to teaching. I scrunched up my face and tried to move away from the girl. But, I failed... She poked the back of my neck. "Hey, hey ginger boy" she whispered. I groaned and turned to her. "Can I help you?" I sighed. She gave me a nod and a cheesy smile that showed off her blinding white teeth. "I need a pen, you got one?" She questioned. I chewed in my lip and shrugged. "Uh yeah, hold on" I mumbled. I handed her a blue pen and looked back down at my book. "Cheers man! Oh, I'm Hadley, Hadley Banks" she grinned. I nodded. "Uh, Danny, Danny Worsnop" I smiled.
