I got 84% on my bio exam and I have no exams till Wednesday so I'm fuckin high and this is a cherry on top. Fuckin boner material lol

I sat down at my new desk, opened the laptop which had tutorials loaded on it. I spent the next 2 hours studying procedures. By week's end, I'll have a better judgement as to prioritize all this data. As I read over some files, they almost seem... Illicit. Borderline illicit. Not enough to convict or charge, but enough to raise suspicion. Most of everything else has to do with the company like books of entry, ledgers and requisition orders from the lab workers. Others were about research and how certain finds affected the existing market. Other files dealt with shadow institutions under project code names such as Project Thermopile, Project Windshield and... Project Nightmare? All of this sounds so sketchy but what can I do?

I began ordering them by name in a folder before reading their descriptions and judging their importance. I could do 10 every 1, 100 in about an hour or so. I was efficient, proactive and... uncomfortable. I can't forget how he dismissed that woman. It was so blunt and rude. I feel his smoky breath down my nape every time I shut my eyes, and when I open them I have a flash of what he may look like. A pudgy face, potbelly stature and height that even Mineta wouldn't be jealous of.

I pushed these thoughts back deeper into the recesses of my mind and focused on beginning a new task. I now need to forward them to the man himself, easily done. One button and boom, I've earned some of my paychecks. Did I mention I'm cut off from family funds? Elder clan heads want me to be reliant on either this job or Tim, Tim being a pseudonym for The Illusive Man as he's most commonly known. Rumour has it that he's not even the son of the former Illusive Man, given that he's both released the last name and completely overhauled all of his visible businesses. Midoriya is a very, very common name so tracking down a specific Midoriya will be impossible without more data. For now, I must focus on my work.

Hours later

It's 7:00 pm, close off time. I had the option of overtime but there is no need to be so devoted so quickly. I gathered my things before exiting my office and riding the elevator out to the ground floor. The night staff was being rotated in, efficiently sound business practice. This also means there'll be a backlog for tomorrow. I guess if I work hard it won't be that bad.

I left the building and stood at its entrance only to be drawn by the calling off my name. "Yaoyorozou, over here!" I looked to my right to see Todoroki and Kyoka waving me over. With a gleeful smile, I shuffled my way to them. "Damn girl, you got the fit. Sheeee." Kyoka teased. Todoroki nodded silently in agreement. "Yeah, my boss made me wear it," I admitted shyly, much to Todoroki's displeasure. "Surely he didn't force you, did he?" Queried the two-toned young man. I shook my head and assured him, "I had to look professional so he requested that I change into this."

"Hmm. Anyway, I just finished my shift, wanna hit a bar or club?" Jiro offered jovially. I was about to say yes but suddenly I got a call on my phone. I pulled from my bag, gesturing for a moment to my friends. The contact read: Mr Midoriya. Damn it, Dad must've added it. I hesitated for a few seconds before saying, "Um, guys I have to take this." I excused, quickly putting the device to my ear.

"Yes sir?" I answered, slight annoyance in my voice. "We've passed working hours. No need for formalities." He said. "O-ok..." I don't know what to call him, it's not exactly appropriate to publicly announce you're in direct contact with The Illusive Man. "I'm sending a car over. Get in it." He ordered sternly. I sighed, "Sir... Midoriya, I have plans." I objected,  long silence lingering on the line as I looked to my two associates and then to the floor, observing the contours of their shoes. "I wasn't making a request, woman." He softly growled into the phone, a patient warning of sorts. Woman? Woman? This is uncalled for. "I can't just-"
