“Helen you’re late again!” My mother screams on the top of her lungs. Hearing her voice all the way down the hallway to my room.

My eyes jolt wide open in an instant. Shit, shit, shit.

I jump out of bed and glance at my alarm clock, which failed on me. 7:58AM, okay school tardy bell rings at 8:10AM, if my math is decent, I only got 11 minutes. I can do this. Piece of cake. I mean come on, Helen extra points for having the habit of sleeping in my school clothes to bed.

Where was I? Oh yeah, school!

Glancing around my messy bedroom, I hurdle to a pile of clothes. Throwing dirty shirts, jeans till I found my backpack, strapping it on me, and head for the stairs.

“Bye mom!” I shout as I run out the front door onto the sidewalk, starting a fast pace. Being in track certainly has its benefits. Okay stay focus, sprint, breathe, pace.

NO! One of my shoelace is untied, crap. Should I stop? Nah, besides I merely got 3 minutes left and I’m so close by the school I can see it!

Immediately I trip over and scrap my knees. Ouch! My skinny jeans are rip, just great.

"Ma’am are you all right?” An old random man that was walking his dog approached up to me.

“Yeah I had worse” He assistances me up from the sidewalk.

“You’re bleeding!” He hollers as I continue to run, heading toward the main doors of school. Down the hallway to Mr. Jackson English class. There it was, his door lid up as if it was the gates to heaven. I enter the door and the tardy bell rings. Yes I made it, happy dance, shuffle, oppa gangman style!

“Umm? Helen do you need a nurses pass? I stop dancing and look at all my classmates staring at me and my bloody knees.

“I shall definitely do that” I lower my head down and silently grab the pass from Mr. Jackson hand, and hurriedly fast walk out of there. Hearing a few laughs as I left the classroom.

Embarrassing moment! Ranking umm #8, #7 was when I farted during the moment of silence. But that happened in 5th grade.

Gosh do I have so many embarrass-ahh. Thump. Everything goes blank while feeling my body falling back till something grabs me back up.

“-You okay, you kind of ran into me pretty hard?” A sweet voice said. Wait a second, that voice.

I slowly open my eyes.

My face was in a chest, I recognize this chest, its Tyler’s chest! Ain’t no one has pecks similar to his. I stare up and Tyler was eyeing down at me, holding my arms since I almost felled back from knocking into him.

I felt my cheeks go tomato red. My heart begins to pound out of my chest. His hands softly touching me, supporting my balance, bringing a shock to my skin down to my knees making them go fragile.

“Whoa there” He utters as he picks me back up. His voice is so dark and sexy. Marry me. I just keep starring into his bright blue eyes getting lost in them.

"Okay then…” He awkwardly says letting me go and heads off. Still standing just spacing out, couldn’t believe Tyler James Morrison just talked to me. Butterflies start flapping around my stomach! Wait no, I skipped breakfast.

The nurse patch up my knees and even lets me eat some left over cafeteria food. Bless her heart. I head off to continue my classes, each one is a blur until I get to my favorite period. Track.

“Wow Helen what happened to your knees?!” Jane my best friend since middle school asks staring at my bandages.

“I fell on my way to school today. Why is it noticeable?!” Oh no, this is the only period I kind of share with Tyler, well sort of. Football practices on the field, track has to practice on the track area, so I practical get to watch him while I run.
