Are you ok..?

Heat waves

"Ok chat, well I'm about to end stream. I'll see you guys later. Byee!!"

And with that I close stream, but stay in call with George.

"that was fun."

I say visibly tired, he noticed.

"are you ok, Dream?"

"yeahh...?"

I say as more of a question. He sighs.

"I wanted to surprise you later, but, I have a ticket to go to Florida"

I was so confused.

"why?"

I asked he gave a little laugh.

"because I wanted to see you"

"you don't know what I look like"

"and? You know what i look like."

"true.. Well imma sign off. Talk to you later"

"byee"

And with that my smile had faded.  I thought of all the times that George had been there for me. I couldnt ever be there for him.. I was always the one in need of saving. I sighed as patches jumped on my lap.

"Patches.. What am I supposed to do?"

I asked my furry friend who didn't say anything, but looked up at me and purred. I stroked her head until i felt her fall asleep. I looked up at the ceiling, looking at my taunting ceiling fan. I had no power. And it was horrible here in Florida. I jumped a little as my phone went off. I looked at it and saw a text from George.

George: hows the heat wave?

I sighed and opened the link. Instantly music came from my phone, making patches look at me with fear in her eyes. I stroked her head again, reassuring her that she was ok. I put the phone down and listened to the song.

I think of all the nights i stay up staring at my ceiling, not being able to get George out of my head.

I move to my bed, patches following me. I lay down and she jumpes up on my chest.

I sigh as the song ends. Why had George sent me that song? Of all the songs, he chose that one. I was confused, but i eventually fell asleep listening to Patches purring.
