TATIANA
Why do we fall in love with people who don't know we exist? Or someone who's way out of our league?
I ask that question everyday, when I see you're dark brown eyes and your smile, that can light up any room. Your wavy black hair that is never neat from the constant running of the hands through your hair, but in midst of all of that its still perfect.
My heart never fails to skip a beat when you walk past me through the halls and I get a whiff of bergamot, sending me on a sweet trip. Oh God what I would give to wake up to that citrus smell everyday.
Oh how I missed you over the summer.
I let out a deep breath and looked at my half finished sketch of Levi.
I should throw this away.
This is creepy, I'm being creepy.
I bit my bottom lip and took a peak up at him from across the cafeteria. He was starring down at his phone with a serious expression he has on his face almost all the time, he rarely smiles but when he does I swear time stops.
"Levi!" My head snapped to the middle of the cafeteria to see Sunny. Thats not her real name but people just call her that because her hair is red. Her real name is, Lidia. She's not only beautiful but she is the most popular girl in school.
I bit the insides of my cheeks when she rushed up to Levi and gave him a hug, was I jealous of her, yes, but deep down inside I was envious of her.
I caught the reflection of myself in the window, I had frizzy curly hair and acne that just won't go away no matter how much Cerave I put on my face, I looked down at my outfit and I sure as hell had no style.
I couldn't compete.
The bell ringed taking me out my self hatred filled thoughts. I shut my notebook not having the heart to rip the peice apart, I quickly put my pens and pencils back in my pouch and head towards the exit, squeezing my way through the crowd of noisy teenagers.
It was finally the last class of the day and it was my favorite class.
Art!
I get to my locker grabbing everything I needed so that I can just walk straight out of school when its over, not needing to go back to the wave of students that were surrouding my locker. I make it to class with a minute to spare.
I sit down at my normal seat in the back of the class, I know how cliche, but here me out, sitting in the back of the class is the best, you don't have no one looking over your shoulder or the teacher calling on you, you're basically invisble, just how I like it.
"Hello class! Welcome, welcome!" Mrs. Carpenter greeted the students with a smile.
I pulled out my art homework along with my supplies, trying to finish the last finishing touches before the warning bell ringed. For our summer homework, we had to draw our favorite fruit, it should have been easy peasy, but knowing me I had to make everythng difficult. I couldn't quite pick a fruit, so I just made a basket of all of my favorite fruit but in the process of doing so I fell asleep and then I never finished, I honestly forgot.
"You must be the kids from Mr. Mathews art class."
I looked up at the unfamilar students surrounding the front of the classroom, there were about four of them.
"Alright class, listen up!" She clapped her hands together, getting everyones undivided attention.
I peaked up at her every now and then as I finished up shading the apple.
