Camila met Lauren on April 25th, 2016. It will always be a day she'll never forget. She was walking to her morning class when she recklessly walked right into her best friend.

"Woah! Watch where you're- oh, hey chancho!" A taller girl with blonde ombre hair said.

"Hey Dinah, I'm sorry. I'm just so tired from working late last night, I didn't see you." Camila chuckled.

"Girl, you needa take that working stuff easy! Get shifts that you can handle. At this rate, one day you're gonna be so tired you'll end up late to one of your classes." She said seriously.

Ever since Camila's father died a few years earlier her mother has been struggling to provide for her and her younger sister. In her senior year, she finally had time to get a job at a clothing store in the local mall so she could get a used car and help out her mom.

"Dinah, you know I need the money. My mom lost her second job and she's getting older. I need to be able to provide for Sofi." She sighed.

Her mom also started abusing alcohol. Nobody knows that though. The family of three keep it well hidden.

"Well, you know I can always help out. And don't be afraid to come and talk to me. I know you keep stuff to yourself sometimes... I just want you to be okay." Dinah said.

"Thanks D, it means a lot.", she gave the younger one a sad small smile.

And with that, she was off to her first class. Hopefully that would take her mind off all of the drama.

As soon as she sat down, someone started talking to her. "Hey! I was wondering if you were gonna show up!"

Camila laughed, "Mani, you know I can't be late anymore! I'm determined to stay on track from now on." The darker girl grinned knowingly.

With Camila going through the all of these situations, she has had to release some stress. So, she has had her fair share of one night hook ups, most of which have made her late to her lectures. Camila was an out and proud lesbian, but she mostly hooked up with curious girls that she knew would never try to have any type of relations with her. She thought it was better that way, she had too much emotional baggage. But yet, she was a hopeless romantic.

She always imagined that she would find herself a perfect girl. A girl that could sweep her off her feet or vice versa. Either way, she won't ever commit unless she's in love.

When the class was over, she had to hurry home to change into her work clothes. After that, she was on her way to her job. For some reason she felt different. She felt like her life was about to change, she just couldn't pinpoint if it was good or bad.

"Mila! I missed you!" A short woman ran up and hugged her.

"Ally, I saw you yesterday. Did you miss me or were you just bored without me?" She deadpanned.

"Well, a little bit of both. But now you're here so it's all good!" Ally laughed.

"Girls! Get over here! I have some news!" Daniel, the manager, said.

Both of them walked over to him, curious as to what he has to say. "I've hired a new employee, she'll be showing up today. Camila, I want you to train her, since you've been here longer than Ally." He said. They nodded understandingly.

About thirty minutes later, Camila was organizing the racks when she heard a husky voice ask her a question. It was then, she looked up into the most beautiful emerald eyes in the world.

"Hi, I'm Lauren. I was hired earlier this week, and was told to show up today." The dark haired girl said with the sweetest smile Camila has ever seen.
