The first thing Micah noticed about Raven was her hair, short and chopped, dyed purple with black tips. She was clearly a rebel girl, dangerous, not someone that he should get involved with. But he just couldn't seem to look away.
She was pretty, that much was clear. Micah had always been into cheerleaders and preps, Raven was anything but. The other girls whispered about her constantly. According to lia she tried to overdose last week. But Annabelle says her father kicked her out.
Neither girl was right, because in reality no one knows anything about her, she never talks, never smiles. Even her teachers leave her the hell alone.
Micah couldn't blame people for avoiding her, after all she looked like she could take a man twice her size. The black leather, band merchandise, and piercings didn't help make her approachable.
She was definitely goth. Micah was her opposite, tall blonde, star football player, quarterback for the school varsity team. As a sophomore he already had a full ride scholarship to the school of his choice. Not that he needed sports, he was a straight A student.
And now, here they are with Raven sitting alone in the darkest, most isolated section of the cafeteria, and Micah watching her from the "popular" table.
She must be new he thought I'd remember a face like that. Just then Raven glances over from her place against the wall, ear buds in she was no doubt listening to some variation of screamo.
Their eyes locked they're black Micah thought, shocked pure black. He was right too, they were black, no irises, just black.
Ravens mouth parts in a gasp, inaudible to where Micah sits. His eyes are gold. She'd never seen anything like it before, it was fascinating.
And that's when it got complicated, cause it's just can't be simple, can it?
