Aria's POV

I knew it was wrong. I knew that the moment I met him. But it just felt so right. Every time he looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes of his, I would feel something I had never felt before.

It all started a about a year ago when I stepped into my Language Arts class. I was in my senior year but school was not the most fun place to be for me. I was the "new girl" at the school.

I looked around for a seat and saw that, unfortunately, the only available seat was next to the teacher's desk. As soon as I sat down, the teacher walked in.

He was about 6 feet tall, had the bluest blue eyes, had dark brown hair, and a stubble. He made his way to the front of the class and introduced himself.

"Hey guys, I am your Language Arts teacher this year. My name is Mr. Collins, and this is my first year at this school," Mr. Collins said, "Let me take roll."

He walked over to his desk glancing at everyone's faces. "Abby Adams" he called out.

"Here!"

"Mia Smith"

"Heerrree"

"Arianna Parker," he said. I don't know why, but it made me shiver.

"Here, but I prefer to be called Aria, sir," I replied.

Mr. Collins turned around to look at me. He just stared at me for a couple of seconds. "Well okay then Aria,"

He continued to call or names for another few minutes. Then he explained what we would be doing this year. But I didn't hear a single word. All my mind could focus on was how nice he looked.

Ugh stop it, I thought, he's your teacher. He could lose his job or something.

Before I knew it, class was over, and it was time for lunch. I had dreaded this part of the day because I, well, I didn't know anyone. I had no idea where I was going to sit. I put all of my stuff in my locker and grabbed my lunch box. I took my time as I walked to the cafeteria. I looked around for a minute and spotted an empty table in the corner. I went there and sat down. A couple of minutes later, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I flinched and turned around to see who it was. "Mr. Collins?"

"Aria, hey, what ch'ya doing here sitting alone?"

"Um, well I don't really know anyone at this school,"

"Well, that makes the two of us," Mr. Collins said. I could've swore that he winked at me.

"Ya, I guess so..."

"Well I guess I'll see you later then. Are you going to come to my classroom after school today for study hall?"

"I could ask,"

"Well you should come. We won't actually study,"

Okay he definitely winked this time.

"Okay, I'll be there,"

"Bye Aria,"

I quickly finished my lunch and went outside. After about 15 minutes the bell rang, and everyone shuffled their way back to class.

I had math next. The math teacher's name was Mr. Ivan. He babbled on for the rest of class, and before I knew it, the day was over. I had texted my mom earlier to ask if I could stay after school and she had said yes. I grabbed all of the books I would need to do my homework. I walked into Mr. Collins' room.

"Hey, Aria, you made it!" Mr. Collins exclaimed.

"Ya... so where's everyone else?" I asked.

"I don't know. This is the first day I'm having the study hall in my room. Oh well, at least you can get the help you need. You know one-on-one attention,"

"Yeah, I guess."

"So should we start with your Language Arts homework?"

"Nah, Science first. Mr. Patterson gave us a bunch of homework. I'm gonna get that out of the way first."

"Okay, I'll be at my desk if you need me."

I went and sat at my desk and stayed working on my science homework. I finally finished a little while after.

"Mr. Collins?" I called out.

"Hmm?"

"What was the LA homework again?"

"Page 24, answer the questions,"

"Okay, thanks," I did questions 1-4 easily, but I got stuck on the last one. After trying for a while I decided to go ask Mr. Collins.

"Mr. Collins, can you help me with number 5, please?"

"Yeah, sure. Here, pull up a chair next to me," I went and sat next to him. He explained the problem to me, and I solved and wrote the answer down.

"Thanks," I said. He didn't respond. He just stared into my eyes. His eyes were even nicer up close. They were like never ending oceans. I felt my heart beat faster and faster. He slowly leaned in, and before I knew it, so did I. Then he pulled back abruptly.

"Tomorrow, same time?" he asked.

"Sure, I guess, " I said. Then I walked out of the room, trying to hold back my tears.
