*End of Flashback*

And that was it my parents were dead leaving me with no one but myself
I was snapped out of my thoughts when Brandon my best friend called me "Isa" he said "hmm" I answered back "there holding a meeting about the food supply problem""oh alright I'll be right there" as I said that he left leaving me alone

3 minutes went by and I decided to get up when I got to the meeting room I saw everyone else was already here "ah, Bella just the person we were waiting for" as everyone's heads snapped to me sorry I quietly mumbled and sat down next to Max

"Alright everyone, since we're all here let's begin" he started "as we all know we've been running low on food, the food we still have now will probably last only a few weeks more, but after that it's gone" he stated, everyone started whispering with each other about the news "alright, everyone quite done" just like that no one was talking anymore "so I've decided to recruit a few people that are up to the job on escorting me to the surface and help me gather food" everyone was quite he sighed

"Alright then-" before he can finish Brandon spoke up "I'll go, I mean I have nothing else to lose and if it means getting more food for everyone I'll do it" after that more people started volunteering "alright everyone that's all, before we finish anyone else want to volunteer?"

Everyone looked at each other but no one "okay-""I'll go" I said rasing my hand as everyone looked at me, I never really volunteer for this but... I think it's time to contribute myself

"Alright then, that's all everyone can go" he said while smiling warmly at everyone as people got up, I stayed for a few more seconds, to think about me decision I finally got up and headed to the exit until I felt someone grab my wrist it's Max

Max was short about 5'5 but don't be fooled she's a tough cookie, she has red hair and green eyes

As I was deep in thought I heard her say "Isa to earth, you there?""oh right sorry, what did you say?""I said what you did back there was really brave, most of the time your quite""oh um, yeah I just thought to contribute once in a while" I said blankly as she stared up into my hazel eyes, I'm a bit taller then her about 5'7 I have brown hair

She smiled at me warmly "that's cute" she said, I looked a way a bit knowing I'm blushing, you see I was always a bit... Gay more specifically bi but I never told anyone but my best friend Brandon

"Umm yeah, is there anything else you wanted?" I asked finally looking into her eyes "oh yeah I wanted to know if you wanted to sleep over at my bunker tonight, if you want to"

I stand there like an idiot just processing what she said "hello?""oh yeah I'd love too" I smiled at her "great c'ya tonight then" she said as she kissed my check and walked away

Leaving me a blushing mess, I was so distracted that I didn't notice Brandon behind me "ohh, what was that?" 6'0 friend asked me while smirking "n-nothing""sure" he said as he wiggled his eye brows

Brandon's a really attractive guy blonde hair blue eyes a gentleman but I never saw him that way, I see him more as a brother, the older hype man brother that is

"Anyways, what did she ask you?""oh um, if I wanted to sleep over at her bunker""ok, she definitely likes you"he stated waving his hands dramatically in the air "what no, have you seen her she's breathtaking" I said as I saw her talking to Ethan the person that hosted the meeting

"Ugh, girl your hot any guy or girl would be stupid not to like you" he said making me blush a little "yeah whatever it's probably just a friendly gesture plus she's probably straight" I said

"Ugh whatever anyways are you sure you wanna go back to the surface, I know you really don't like going up there since we'll the incident" he said referring to my parents death

I frowned a little remembering my parents "yeah I'm sure I think it's time to put the past behind" smiling to myself "that's my girl" he cheered making me giggle

"C'mon let's go to the cafeteria"I said as my stomach rumbles making him giggle "yeah let's go before the hungry beast within you comes out" he joked I just rolled my eyes playfully

*Time skip to Midnight*

As I'm walking down the halls to Max's room while fighting with the collar of my shirt, before I knew it I was at her door I knocked a few times before the door finally opened

There she was standing in her cat pajamas she always liked cats I found it adorable, I just stand there staring at here before finally coming to my senses

"Oh h-hey" I said stuttered like the idiot I am she just giggled, cute I thought to myself "hey glad you came""um yeah" as she opened the door slightly wider for me to come in her room

As I got in I took in my surroundings I noticed a picture with her and another guy and a lot, I mean a lot of cat poster's, while I was looking around I didn't notice her sit on her bed

"I'm glad you can make" she beamed happily at me, god that smile, "Uh... um yeah" then silence happened "I- um.. like you're room" I stated "oh thank you, as you may have already noticed I love cat's" she giggled

She gestures me to sit on the floor in front of her, I just followed "Soo" "how are you?" I asked as she giggled again "I'm doing great, you?" "Just fine"

"Mhm" she hummed as a response as I look over the picture of her and another guy, "if you don't mind me asking, who's the guy beside you in that pictured" I said and pointed at the picture that was on top of a shelf "oh that's my ex Boyfriend" she said "oh"
