"Go away!"

Hailey's eyes widen. Jake had never yelled at her before. Of course, it might be understandable in this case. He just got rejected by his long time crush.

Hailey sighs. "Okay." She walks away.

She's walking down the hall, thoughts running through her head.

She walks past the bathroom, but hears faint crying coming from the bathroom. She opens the door against her better judgement, and sees a head filled with long white hair, flowing straight all around her. Hailey looks at Daisy. She doesn't seem to notice she's here,  so she could easily just leave. But something wouldn't let her. Despite not knowing the girl that well, Hailey feels a need to comfort her. So she walks up to her slowly.

"Daisy..?" She whispers, almost too quietly to hear. But she looks up, sky blue eyes shining with tears.

Hailey sits on the floor beside her. "What's wrong?"

Daisy tucks a piece of her hair behind her ear. "I just... Feel so bad..." Her voice comes out soft.

Hailey stays quiet, waiting to see if she says more. She soon does. "I didn't want to reject him, I just..." She lost her words.

Hailey speaks up. "It's not your fault if you don't like him back, you know."

"I know, I just..." Daisy pauses once more. "I can't help but feel a little guilty. He looked so heartbroken." Daisy puts her head in her knees again, replaying the incident in her head.

Hailey looks down, not sure what to say next. So she doesn't say anything. She sits there silently, letting Daisy cry. She finds herself hoping it's enough.

She has no idea how much Daisy needed someone to just sit there with her and let her cry.

(Time skip brought to you by Drew's rich Daddy-) (im so sorry 🤣)

It's been two months. Once he got over the initial heartbreak, Jake and Daisy reconciled and were able to stay friends. It was a bit awkward at first, but now the crush that Jake had on Daisy is a thing of the past.

Not only that, but Daisy and Hailey have managed to get closer to each other too. The interaction they had in the bathroom led to them becoming very good friends with each other. Hailey would never admit it out loud, but she had grown quite fond of Daisy during this time. She finds herself smiling at the mere thought of her.

Hailey's  sitting in the garden, hands weaving away at the stems of the flowers she's holding.

She's making a crown. It's made up of white Daisies.

"Hails?"

Hailey looks to her side to see sky blue eyes looking back down at her. The two girls blush lightly, before Daisy sits next to her on the bench.

Hailey's face flushes "I've told you not to call me that..."

Daisy giggles, and the teal haired girl beside her grows red. That laugh always sounded like music to her.

Daisy smiles softly before looking down at the crown in Hailey's hand. Her eyes widen slightly. "Daisies..?"

Hailey looks down too before her eyes expand too. "Um, yeah."

They look away from each other, flustered. Hailey fiddles with the flower crown in her hand, before deciding on something. She swiftly gets up and places the crown on the other girl's head.

Daisy gasps, looking into the stormy gray eyes across from her in confusion.

"It's for you." She says. Daisy's face reddens almost as much as Hailey's.

She gathers herself. "Thank you." She touches the crown on her head and smiles. Hailey ducks her head down, curly hair covering her face.

She takes a deep breath. "Daisy, I-"

"I love you."

The ivory haired girl interrupts. Hailey looks at her in complete shock, unable to speak.

Daisy looks at her in concern. "Are you okay? Did I do something wrong?"

Hailey immediately shakes her head. "No! I-I just- I mean- Hold on- I don't- I really,"

Words fail her. She groans in frustration. Daisy looks at her, eyes shining with worry.

Hailey takes another deep breath, before stepping forward. She may not be able to say anything, but actions speak louder than words.

She gently places her hands on Daisy's face, before connecting their lips in a sweet kiss.

She soon feels hands on her own cheeks. The soft hands of the girl before before her. The girl she loves.

The girl who loves her back.

The kiss doesn't last long, but they both feel satisfied as they pull away, resting their foreheads together.

Hailey gathers her words once more, this time successfully. "I love you too."

They look into each other's eyes for a bit longer before Hailey hears a camera shutter. The two girls look to the side to see a purple head of hair hidden behind his phone.

"Hello, sister."

"ZANDER!?"

(I'm sorry, I had to. 🤣 Okay, I'll leave-)
