I didn't know where I was heading, I just ran. I've reached the woods where the cabin was. Where whatever the hell this is begun. Something gripped my hind legs, causing me to crash into the pile of leaves. I quickly got onto my shaking paws, and looked behind me. A fox that was about a few inches shorter then me stood still, staring at me.
"You might want to be careful, these woods are rigged up with bear traps and nets." They barked.
"Who the hell are you?" I barked back.
"Name's Allie. I'm guessing you're Madison Montgomery." I paused. How did she know it was me? I could understand how she knows my name but it's not like I'm myself.
"How did you know it was me?" I asked. The fox tilted it's head.
"We know the wolf that bit you, she's a friend of ours." Said an unfamiliar voice. I glanced behind the fox to see a panther, Jaguar, hawk, and a slightly smaller fox behind her. All about the size of a human. The panther stepped up.
"Obviously she's not here right now, but we know where you can find her if you want answers." His tail swayed as he talked.
"Who was she?" My claws dug into the ground.
"Her name is Lucinda. High school student like the rest of us." The smaller fox said.
I'm Chloe by the way." She continued.
"I'm Roy." The panther added.
"Daniel." The hawk chimed in.
"And I'm Crawford." The Jaguar finished. I nodded slightly. They all turned and lead me through the forest careful, stepping over bear traps and nets. The moonlight lit up the forest perfectly, that casted a glow on the metal traps. We walked up to a small wolf den. It was hidden by boulders and vines seaped through the cracks in between. A small, skinny she wolf walked out. It looked like she hasn't eaten for weeks. Her bones showed through her thin fur and her paws shook as she walked.
"What do you want?" She growled.
"Lucinda? What the hell happened?" Roy asked, placing his paw infront of him.
"What do you want?" She repeated.
"I want to know why the fuck you bit me?" I snarled.
"The wolf glanced and me and recognized me imedeantly. She charged at me and jumped at me. I bit her neck before she knocked me down the hill. We rolled down the hill, biting and clawing each other as we reached the bottom. I used my hind leg to knock Lucinda into a tree. I heard her spine crack as she hit the tree and landed on the ground with a thud. She got back up quickly and tried to attack but I doged it and tackled her down and dragged her by the scruff of her neck. She swiped her claws across my face, causing me to let go. While I had my paw on my eye she tried to attack again but Roy stopped her.
"Lucinda! Enough." He roared. Out of my good eye, I could see everyone stand infront of me, growling at Lucinda while Roy gripped her scruff in his mouth.
"Sorry about that, we have no idea what's gotten into her." Daniel turned to face me.
"But that doesn't matter for now, we should probably get you home for the best."
Allie glanced at me, then Lucinda.
"I'll take her." She said, turning back to me.
"Ok, be careful." Roy yelled as we ran off. We ran through the forest, hoping over fallen branches and stepping around bear traps.
"It's gets better when it isn't the full moon." Allie said in the middle of our walk.
"Your saying this happens every night?" I asked. She shook her head.
"No, we can shift when we please, it's the curse that causes the the painful shifts during the full moon." She paused.
"Meet me at that cabin tomorrow. I'll be able to teach you how to control it. Just don't tell anyone about it."
"Ok." I nodded. Allie looked at me and a smile seems to shine in her eyes as we walk the rest of the way home.
