Y/n's POV
"Mom," I asked. "Can I go outside and play a bit?"
"Just don't stay out for too long," Mom warned. "Or else you might encounter a few monsters."
"Thanks mom!" I reply. I quickly put on some warmer clothes and head out to play in the snow. I run around, trying to catch snowflakes on my tongue. I looked up at the sky. It was sunset. I should go back home. I looked around. I had strayed too far from home! I started shivering. Home was nowhere in sight. Only an old, run-down stone building. I ran inside. A burnt torch sat in the corner of a 3x4 room. A chest stood at the other end of the entrance. Being the kid I am, I opened it. I found two snow blocks and a pumpkin. A pair of shears were also inside. I giggled as I placed down the pumpkin and carved it. I drew a goofy smiley face with happy eyes. I stacked the two snow blocks on top each other. After I placed down the pumpkin on top of the snow, a living, breathing, snowman appeared. I stared in awe.
"Wow!" I said. "Are you a snow golem?" The snow golem nodded.
"I'm going to call you Snowball!" I giggled. "Wanna be friends?" Snowball nodded his head. "Yay!" I grabbed Snowball's stick arm, making sure I wouldn't accidently break it off. I held his hand as we exited the old, smelly building. I squinted as the snow blew into my face. Where was my mommy? She would always come and find me.
"Let's go back to my house, Snowball!" I told him. Snowball slowly nodded. I smile as I try my best to get back home. I find a huge snow fort. Well maybe not too big. I remember making this earlier. I think the village was that-- oof! I looked up and saw a skeleton. He wore blue rags, making him look very scary. Its eyes were glowing too. Maybe it was one of those ghosts, ghosts of travelers that never made through the cold nights.
"Hi mister!" I greeted. The stray silently pulled back his bow and loaded an arrow tipped with some gray liquid. I realized what was happening as I dodged. The arrow was stuck in the ground. The stray drew back another arrow. I backed up. Snowball stood in front of me. A snowball appeared in his hands and he chucked it at the stray's head. The stray fell down but got up again. I whimpered in fear. Two more snowballs hit in square in the skull. I think it was 5 minutes until the scary blue skeleton fell down into a heap of bones. I hugged Snowball.
"Thanks Snowball!" I said. A stick arm grabbed my hand and led me towards the village.
"Y/n!" My dad shouts, running over to me. "What happened?!" He looked up and saw Snowball. "What is that?!" He threw a torch at Snowball.
"Daddy no!" I shrieked. I grabbed the torch by the fiery end. I yelped and dropped it. Too late. Snowball was a melted puddle of snow. On top of it all was a smiling, happy snowman's head.
