Akashi never really was good at making jokes.

It was April Fool's Day, pranks were everywhere, everyone was having fun and messing around, people pranking, people being pranked.

Save for Kuroko Tetsuya.

Earlier that day he was attempted to be pranked by several of his teammates. First, Riko tried to scare him by sending him a screamer over the net, but he already saw it before while he was looking up for horror related pictures and videos. Second, Koganei and Mitobe had a video chat with him and tried to fool him into thinking that Mitobe would talk, or that he was talking, but he knew that it was just Koganei talking. Third, Kagami went out with him to Maji Burger and gave him a plastic cup that looked like what his vanilla shakes are contained; filled with those snake thingies that pop out when you open the container, so that when he would drink from it nothing would come out and he would open the lid, but of course, he isn't stupid enough to fall for something like that, considering the cup would be lighter than how it should be; mostly Kagami's muffled giggles gave it away.

They kept on trying then failing. Until they were all pissed.

Riko had the team go to Kuroko's house just to make him believe that their captain, Hyuuga Junpei, was severely hurt. Then again, he wasn't convinced.

They eventually gave up and Kuroko let them in his house since they were already there.

They just sat there in silence, then Kagami spoke up and asked why he can't be pranked

"Yeah, Kuroko, how the hell can you not get pranked?" they backed up.

After a long pause, he finally answered, "Well, I'm not that gullible" as monotonous as ever.

"Have you ever been pranked?" they asked, all attention on the supposed to be invisible boy, staring so hard it's like they were looking right into his soul.

Though uncomfortable with the attention, he replied-
"Yes, I have been. Once." much to their surprise

"Really? Who" who was it? how did they do it? those were their questions.

It was a long story. Well, not really.

Back when they were still in middle school, it was the first of April, a certain red headed student was intrigued by jokes and pranks, though he had thought of them as childish, he wanted to know what it felt like to prank someone. He had the Generation of Miracles to his house and did it to all them, and to be honest, he wasn't really good at it, but they tried not to upset him. He thought of pranking to be quite fun, well, at least for now.

The only person he hasn't pranked yet was Kuroko Tetsuya, since he arrived late. He had always been fascinated with that boy, he could say that it was an infatuation. To be blunt, he liked him. Not 'like' as in 'like', but it's like he 'like-like's him.

Once he arrived to his house he said his apologies and then was faced by Akashi. He placed a hand on the other's shoulder, looked him dead in the eye and said-"I love you", then not noticing the other's blush and stutters he closed his eyes and said-"April Fools!" in between snickers.

Friendly reminder: Jokes are half meant.

Then he felt Kuroko shudder, he looked up to see him crying. Why was he crying? Did he say something wrong?

"Oh yeah, it's April Fools. Haha, yeah, you got me" he let out a forced laugh

Then he got it. He held the other's chin and tilted his head upwards too meet his own. He brought his lips to the smaller boy's eyes and licked his tears away, effectively causing him to blush.

Then he brought his lips to plant a quick yet chaste kiss on the latter's lips.

Kuroko was left confused, his confusion was evident on his tear-stained red face. Hey, who wouldn't be when you've just gotten pranked by your crush saying 'I love you' and then saying 'April Fools', then right after was kissed on the lips by the exact same guy.

His confusion was noticed by the other, so he smirked then said "Sorry for tricking you, I really do like you. And I know you like me too. So would you go out with me?"

-"And then I said yes."

Extra:

"I think Akashicchi and Kurokocchi forgot about us"

They were just staring at the couple for around five minutes now. Just when they started kissing again-quite passionately may I add- they decided to take their leave, before they see something that they should not see.

Extra 2:

"It's the first time I've ever seen Kuroko blush"

The Seirin team decided it would be best for them not to ask what happened any further or else they might not see Kuroko in the same light anymore, considering they have never seen him flustered before, and by flustered they mean they could see a light blush from him. Who knows, it might be the end of the world, that was what was on their minds. But then again he looked cute.

Extra 3:

Akashi smiled at Kuroko apologetically saying sorry for making him cry.

Kuroko chuckled softly, smiling he said

"Akashi-kun never really was good at making jokes"
