What happens when you sing in front of them for the first time

KURT:
It's Kurt's birthday. You made him a cake with candles on top but you never thought through having to sing.
"C'mon, sing for me, (Y/N)," Kurt encouraged. You were very shy, especially about singing. And the fact that Kurt was such a talented musician made it even harder. But when you looked into his eyes, you knew he would never judge you.
You very quietly launched into a round of "Happy Birthday to You". Your voice was a little shaky but otherwise perfect. Kurt beamed at you, both surprised and proud.

KRIST:
Somehow the two of you ended up in a little dive bar outside of town, quite drunk from the vodka and sodas you'd been downing most of the evening. Krist wanted the two of you to sing together. Sober, you never would have agreed to it, but the alcohol gave you confidence. Wanting to do something totally goofy, the two of you sang "Total Eclipse of the Heart" together and you totally nailed it.

DAVE:
The two of you were driving in the car on the way to a Mudhoney show, so naturally you were listening on your way there. "Need" started to play and Dave naturally started belting it out.
"Hey, (Y/N), you never ever sing along to anything in the car. Why is that?"
"I dunno," you answered, feeling embarrassed. You never sang around anyone. "I just don't sing around people.
"It's just me," Dave answered, gently reaching over and taking your hand. "I'd never make fun of you."
"Okay," you agreed, and you softly began singing. Before you knew it, you let loose and you and Dave were both belting out the lyrics, having a great time. Your voice wasn't quite perfect but you had heart and Dave thought you sounded beautiful.
