It was a normal night, you and Matt had a routine. A routine that never changed, until tonight. You two got in bed and tried to sleep. Usually Matt would fall asleep before you, but tonight before you could even get some sleep you heard Matt's phone go off.

Foggy, Foggy, Foggy, Foggy a robotic voice repeated until Matt picked up the phone

'Hey, what's up?' Matt's voice had been slurred and raspy,

'Hey uh, we need you to come in. We have a thing at work. Bring the suit just in case.'

'Okay, I'll be there in a minute. And I will, see-ya Foggy.' Matt hung up the phone and sighed.

'Y/n, I'm sorry. I'll be home soon, I promise. I love you.' He leaned over and kissed your forehead softly

'I love you too, as long as you stay safe I won't be upset. Matt can you promise me that much?'

'Of course I can, I'll take a taxi so I'm not walking to work alone.'

He gets up out of bed and puts on dress pants and a white button up. You notice he missed a couple at the top, you weren't complaining, but you didn't want your fancy lawyer boyfriend showing up to work missing a couple buttons.

'Matt, come here. You missed a few buttons.'

He chuckles softly, in a slight embarrassed tone. He sits down in the bed and you fix up his shirt and rest your hand on his chest.

'I love you Matthew. Don't get in too much trouble. And besides you have church tomorrow, I don't think my good catholic boy would want to miss church.'

'It wouldn't do any harm missing church, or even being late. But thanks for calling me a good catholic boy, I think my priest could disagree.'

'Probably, I just wanted to poke fun at you.' A small chuckle left his mouth, and a smile stained his face.

'Have you seen my glasses? They're not on the table.'

'Yeah, they're on the table next to the front door. Would you like me to get them for you?' He shakes his head softly and gets up off the bed and walks away.

You didn't want to worry but you knew you would. And you knew you wouldn't be able to sleep without him. So you tried to watch a movie but it was interrupted by screams in the streets. This was Hell's Kitchen we were talking about, Daredevil would kick ass almost every night. But not on the street outside of your apartment.

You peak out the window you see an old lady with a purse clutched in her hands, and a douchey looking dude getting his ass absolutely pounded by Daredevil. The guy was a purse snatcher, something quite common in New York.

With one more punch he was down, and he wasn't getting up anytime soon. The man in the sleek red getup turned around to the lady and held her arm softly. He had told her something before letting go, she nodded and walked home.

Your phone started buzzing and you picked it up, the words 'Karen Page - Matt's Work' flashed on your screen.

'Hi, is everything okay?' You say in a worried tone, Karen would only call you to know where Matt was or if something came up with him at work or something.

'Oh yeah, I was just meaning to tell you we're packing up. Foggy already left, but I'll walk Matt home.' Well that was a relief

'Oh okay, is Matt there right now?' Your eyes watched the man in red say something to the purse snatcher.

'Uh no, he's downstairs right now. I'll tell him to give you a call when he's back up here.' Her voice was shaky, almost as if she had been scared.

'Is everything okay? You sound.. anxious?'

'Oh yeah, it's this case. I genuinely don't remember a time me being so worked up over a case since Fisk.' She chuckled lightly

'Oh shit, well if there's anything I can do don't be scared to reach out.'

'Yeah, well I got to get going. I'll see you in a bit.' And before you could get a word out she hung up.

The man started to walk away, with the purse snatcher bloody on the ground. Daredevil had stopped though, reached in his pocket and pulled out his phone. He began walking again while talking on the phone. Who was he on the phone with? What was he saying? You ran to the kitchen and opened the windows, since those were the only windows that opened. And tried your best to listen. There was a faint voice, a familiar one though. Too familiar for your liking.

You ran downstairs and exited your apartment, creaking the door open.

'Sorry I'm late getting back, ran into some purse snatcher. I'll be back at the office in no time,' there was a pause as you put together the pieces in your head. 'See you in a minute Foggy.'

~Your Thoughts~
FOGGY? There is no way that there was another Foggy in the entirety of Hell's Kitchen. And definitely not another one who knows someone who sounds EXACTLY like Matt Murdock.

He shaky breath left your mouth before you approached him.

'Matt?' You said in a scared tone. His head turned toward tour direction, but slightly past you.

'Y/n this isn't what it looks like.'

'Matt, I don't care what it looks like. Why didn't you tell me? Does Foggy know? Does Karen know?'

'Yes, they know. I didn't want you to have the same reaction as Foggy. He was furious with me, he didn't even show up to work. I was alone, I didn't—' his voice started breaking so you ran to him. Hugging him tightly,

'I don't care if you're a catholic blind lawyer, or the Devil of Hell's Kitchen. I will always love you for you. You are the best boyfriend I've ever had. And if you're the guy who's put all these shitty people in their place, good. You of all people should know, I have been cheering Daredevil on before he even had this red suit. Which might I add is astonishingly flattering to your ass. Matthew I would never leave you for a choice you make, or what you do. I promise you, I love you.' There was a long pause before you let go of your hug, looking at the red smoothed over eyes in his mask.

'I know that now, but I thought it was too late to tell you after I had beaten people to a pulp and thrown them in prison with you sitting there. I love you too.' He kissed you softly and you wrapped your arms around his neck.

'Let me call Foggy now and let him know that you won't be going back to the office.' He nodded softly before you reached in your pocket and called him.

'Foggy, um hey, so I ran into Matt so I'll just take him home. No need to worry.'

'Oh—, okay. Well keep him safe please, don't let him fall down anymore flights of stairs.' Foggy chuckled

'I'll try, but he's pretty damn independent. Thanks, buh-bye.' You hung up the phone before Foggy could even get a word out.

'Let's get inside before anyone sees you.'
