The moon looks slightly evil, doesn't it?

At least that's what I thought as I drove away from my home, watching it through the window. So large and bright, always beaming down, boasting about how far away it is from the world and its problems. If I could escape to the moon I would never leave, I would sit and watch the world from afar.

But that will never happen.

"Anastacia," I say, looking away from the moon and to my cousin sat next to me instead, "do you think I'll be happy there, at Rosewood?"

She glances up from her phone, "How should I know? I've attended for a year but I still hate leaving Paris to live in drizzly, grey England," she pauses, eyes returning to her phone screen, "mais je n'ai pas le choix.(But I don't have the choice.)"

"We will have to stop speaking French too..."

"Je connais! C'est très mauvais!(I know! It's very bad!)"

"Vraiment? Je pense que ce sera assez bien. (Really? I think that it will be quite good.) Now stop! English is the only way."

She groans, and I turn on my own phone, 8:57pm. I frown as I notice a notification from my Partizan, Henri, it reads:

I'm coming with you, to Rosewood. See you at the airport.

I gape at my phone, "Ani Henri's coming to Rosewood."

"What?!"

"Henri's coming to Rosewood." I repeat.

"I thought only Saskia was coming like last year!"

I shrug, bewildered, "You know he's never trusted Saskia, maybe that's why."

"Ridicule (Ridiculous) Odette! Saskia's been my Partizan forever, I trust her with my life."

"Fair, but Henri's my Partizan."

Anastacia mutters angrily under her breath, immediately sending snappy texts to Saskia to tell her. I text Henri.

Why?

I watch as the dotted bar pops up on my screen, then disappears without an answer, "Perfect, he's always been great at communication."

I shove my phone in my pocket, my mind wandering back to the school.

The partition screen to the front of the taxi opens electronically, and the driver speaks. "Nous serons à l'aeroport dans cinq minutes."

"Five minutes to the airport." I clarify after the screen shuts.

Anastacia drops her phone dramatically. "I can't believe this!"

"What now?"

"Saskia has known Henri's coming for a week!"

"Why is it so bad?"

"Odette, I haven't trusted Henri since he started assessing Saskia for mistakes and suspicious activity that was never there by the way. Now every time the two of them are in the same room they'll either start attacking each other or executing death glares capable of starting fires."

I choke a laugh, "It's not that bad!"

"Whatever, your funeral Odie."

The car comes to a stop, I sling my bag over my shoulder and step out briskly, Anastacia retrieves our suitcases from the boot as I approach the front to pay.
