"Guy, wait up!"
I sighed as he sprinted off again, shouting something about finding Kakashi to rechallenge him.
We try to do morning walks occasionally, but they turn into a run or some heavy training exercise. Today, he was too pumped up about finding Kakashi because he was allegedly training to "finally beat Kakashi."
When I finally caught up with Guy, he was already in Kakashi's face.
"Come on, Kakashi, are you scared?" He grinned. "I've been training for weeks now to defeat you finally,"
Kakashi didn't look up from the book he was reading and held a poker face. "Hm? Did you say something?"
Guy dropped his head in a sulky way but quickly looked back up at him with a fiery determination in his eyes. "That won't work on me this time!"
Kakashi looked up at him, mirroring his expression. He stood up and closed his book.
"Alright then,"
Guy grinned and then turned back to face me. "Watch very closely, Hana! You're next!"
I just grimaced.
They both held their hands out.
"Rock, paper, scissors!"
Kakashi looked surprised, and Guy was smug.
"I finally got you!" Guy shouted with victory. "See? I told you that you wouldn't be able to beat me. I've been training for weeks now!"
"I guess you did," Kakashi said nonchalantly.
Guy then turned around, and I wasn't even ready for whatever "challenge" he wanted with me.
"I'm going to have to cut our walk short, Hana. But make sure you're prepared because I plan to challenge you next, and I won't go easy on you," He smirked, then went down to the handstand.
I sweat dropped at how fast he sprinted off while doing a handstand.
I turned to Kakashi with a teasing grin. "So, I'm surprised to see you up this early. I thought you'd be busy with that girl from the bar last night,"
"I had a mission,"
"You going to go out with her again? She seemed grateful when I pushed you to go talk to her," I pressed.
"Don't you have anything better to do than grill me about my love life?" He quipped.
"I do, actually, but I choose to grill you about your love life anyway,"
He shook his head, and I just laughed at that.
"You lost twice in one day, Kakashi. You lost to Guy, and now you lost the wit battle with me," I grinned.
"Hm? Did you say something?"
"Don't be a sore loser, Kakashi," I laughed and changed the subject for his sake. "Did you hear that Naruto and Jiraiya are coming back tomorrow?"
We started walking through the village together.
"I did," He replied. "Have you decided when you will tell him about the thing?"
"I guess when he gets back. I can't help but be nervous about it," I replied. "It seems like a lot to spring on him though on his first day back, and you know the parent question is inevitable,"
"Again, you don't have to bring them into it. You can tell him you're not ready to open up about the rest of your past," Kakashi suggested. "That way, he won't press any further about it,"
"I guess you're right, but how should I know when to tell him about them? I really wish Lord Third would've left me a letter or left him a letter of some sort," I sighed.
Kakashi had left to talk to Lady Tsunade about a training exercise for his team tomorrow. I wandered around the village, stressing how to bring this up to him.
I didn't realize how fast I was walking until I ran into someone and fell to the ground on my butt.
"Sorry," I said in embarrassment.
"You're fine," a man's voice said.
I looked up and knocked over a man I didn't know. He had shaggy dark brown hair and brown eyes, and he wore a navy blue t-shirt and some black pants to go with it. He also appeared to be around my age too. He was sitting in the same position I was.
I started to feel my cheeks heating up a bit. I quickly stood up and helped him up right away.
"I'm stupid," I laughed awkwardly. "I got lost in thought. I didn't mean to run into you like that,"
He chuckled. "You're fine; I wasn't looking either. I'm Ryuken,"
He held his hand out, and I stared at it, my brain starting to short-circuit.
"Uh...your name?"
I snapped out of my thoughts and immediately shook his hand. "It's Hana! Hana U-Namikaze!"
I mentally cringed at how rushed that sounded and how I stuttered on my name. Way to go, Hana.
He let go of my hand and then smiled at me. "I'll see you around, then."
"Yeah, uh...see you!" I felt more heat rising to my cheeks.
I started walking off, looking down in embarrassment while mentally kicking myself.
"God, what am I? 13 again?" I muttered.
That was weird. I haven't reacted that way to anyone before. I snapped myself out of whatever that was and decided to go home to start dinner and prepare what I would tell Naruto tomorrow.
The entire time I cooked, my mind was shifting between tomorrow and the embarrassing interaction I had earlier.
I jumped when I heard my doorbell ring.
I went to answer it and saw it was Sakura. Sometimes, she came to talk to me since she felt she couldn't talk to her parents and had no siblings.
"Oh, hello, Sakura," I greeted her, then invited her inside. "Do you wanna stay for dinner? I just started,"
She nodded and sat down at my dining table. "What are you making?"
"Just some baked salmon and some rice," I replied. "The salmon's almost done baking and the rice is ready,"
"That sounds good," She replied. "No ramen this time?"
I shook my head. "I was tempted, but I thought I should probably eat something that isn't ramen since I had it yesterday and the day before,"
"I swear, you and Naruto live off ramen," Sakura chuckled. "I hope he's eating properly now that he's out training,"
"Can't blame us," I shrugged as I took the salmon out of the oven. "Ramen's good. I try to eat more than just ramen, though. My aunt would've murdered me if she was still here and saw me only eating ramen,"
I made both bowls, and Sakura started telling me how her parents were irritating her. It wasn't anything huge, just the typical parent-teenager argument. I remember having those arguments with Aunt Kushina, but most of the time, I was too scared to talk back to her due to her temper.
Sakura helped me clean up and then left to return home.
Once everything was cleaned up, I went to bed and pondered how Naruto would react when I told him. Every single scenario was running through my head, and now I was wondering what I would do if he suddenly decided he hated me for lying to him, blamed me for his parents, or got angry with me.
I guess only time will tell.

I'm back with this story, which will end Hana Uzumaki's story. I'll try to update more frequently and work on having more lengthy chapters. I will also rewrite Torn Between Two again, so if you notice any changes, that's why. I'll answer any questions about that in the comments so you're not confused lol. Sorry for the long wait on this one. I was just stuck trying to figure out the exact plot. I have an idea now, though.
