Fate

The loud sound from a passing by airplane roared in my ears as I walk towards the airport's exit.

"Oh my. Its already past dinner time. I hope they will still accept late comers at the academy." I said while looking at my watch.

I'm Stella Flos-17 years old. I once lived in Sicily, Italy, but since my father wants me to study in Aster Academy in Japan. I had to follow his orders even though I don't know why he wants me to study in Japan.

As I walk in the taxi waiting for me at the exit, I was imagining how my life will be in the Academy, and what kind of people would I meet?

"Where will be our destination, miss?" The taxi driver asked. "To Aster Acdemy please." I said excitedly.

Later...

As I stand in front of the school gates, I can't stop but be amazed by its structure. The structure of the building seems so simple but I can feel like its been made by someone I once knew.

"Oh, a visitor, at this late hour?" A sweet voice from behind said.

When I turned around, a woman in her mid-20's was standing there. She has this brownish-blonde short hair and she is wearing glasses. She looks like a teacher in her outfit though.

"Um, excuse me... but do you happen to know someone named 'Triste Ignis' in this place?" I asked. "Oh my, you won't happen to be..." She stopped talking, then she walked towards me while she looked at me in the eyes.

"Stella-chan!" She cried while hugging me. "E-eeh?! Wait, are you... Aunt Triste?!" I said shocked. "You got that right. Oh! You still look so cute, Stella-chan!" Aunt Triste said as she squeezed me in her arms.

Aunt Triste released me from her embrace and smiled at me. Now that I remember it, the last time I met my aunt was 7 years ago. No wonder i wasn't able to recognize her that much.

"Come on, I'll show you to your dormitory room." She said as she lead me inside the school grounds. "Hai." I said as I follow her inside.

After a little tour inside the campus, we arrived at my room's door.

"Um, Aunt Triste, I was wondering. Are you a teacher in the academy?" I asked. "Oh, that. No." She answered. "Eh? Then how did you know the-" I suddenly stopped when Aunt Triste spoke up. "I'm actually the school's Director" She said. "E-eeeeh?!" I was shocked so its normal to react that way. Father didn't even tell me about this.

"Well, I better get going. Its really late, so get some rest, Stella-chan. Good night." She said while waving goodbye.

"Finally, I'm done fixing my things." I sighed as I lie down on the bed. "I'm bored..." I added.

Suddenly, I had a bright idea.

"Hehe, how about I go out and go for a little and see where my classroom is located?" I said to myself.

So i grabbed a flashlight in my bag, and went out to explore the hallways. As I set foot in the building, I opened the flashlight. Because it was terribly dark, duh.

I went up to the second floor. There I found the classroom I will be in by tomorrow, since classes starts tomorrow.

"Class 4-A, I'm so excited to see what's behind this door." I said with a large smile on my face. As I opened the door, I saw two shadows by the corner of the room. My excitement suddenly was replaced by terror. I saw a guy with another person. The latter suddenly fell to the floor, frozen. The former was grinning, and I can see his fangs, and his mounth dripping in blood. There was only one thing that went to mind at that time. "V-vampire?" I whispered in terror and ran away as fast as I could.

"What the heck was that? A Vampire? In Japan?" These were all the words that popped in my mind. I was so busy in running that I tripped over a nail sticking out on the wooden floor.

"Ouch!" I cried. "Why does this have to happen to me?" I added.

"Oi!" A low voice spoke just behind me. As I turned around slowly to see who it was, the moonlight from the window of the hallway lit up his face. I saw a young man with black hair with his right eye covered by his hair. His red eyes sparkled when the moonlight reached his eyes. It was then that I realized that he was the same guy in that room, the Vampire.

"P-please... no... don't suck my blood. I'm not that delicious." I said with my voice trembling. I was so surprised that he grabbed me by my neck. "Oi, woman. Tell me, were you able to witness everything?" He said with his fierce eyes looking at me.

"N-no... I didn't see anything." I said with a trembling voice. "Liar." He said.

I was too scared that not only my voice was trembling but also my body. Although I was relieved because the guy let go of me. I coughed and grasped for air.

"Now, woman." He held his palm near the front of my face. "You shall abide by my contract. You shall not tell anyone of what you have witnessed this night. If you disobey, I shall suck your life out." He treatened. Before I could speak some kind of smoke or something covered me. And before I knew it, my sight was out.

The next day...

I opened my eyes that morning.

"I see that you're awake now?" A voice said.

That's when I remembered what happened last night. I immediately stood up to find myself on a bed. It wasn't my bed or my room. OMG! What happened when I was out?! My imagination ran wild.

"Don't worry I didn't do anything to you while you were unconcious." The guy said as if he had read my mind. "W-who are you? And w-what are you?" I asked. "Tsk, obviously I'm a vampire." He said. "The name's Caedis Gladius. And you are?" He added.

"I'm Stella Flos." I introduced myself.

"I cooked breakfast. Come on, I know you're hungry." He said turning his back on me.

So this vampire guy's name is Caedis? And yeah, he is somewhat handsome.

I ate the pancakes Caedis prepared. It was delicious. I never expected him to be a cook himself.

"Looks like you're satisfied." Caedis said while holding a glass of red wine. "Um, yes. Thank you for the meal." I added.

I was drinking a glass of water when Caedis spoke. "Now, I just want to remind you of our contract. You are obliged to keep my secret, if not, I shall suck your life out. Do I make myself clear, woman?" He said in an emotionless tone. But because that topic surprised me, I accidentally spurted the water I was drinking on Caedis' face.

"Waaah! I'm so sorry! I'll clean it up." I said with my face red and scared. "Teme..." He mumured. "Maybe I should just suck out your life now." He added.

I was so scared that I closed my eyes and froze. When Caedis came close to me, he just patted my head abd said, "Just kidding." I was so embarrassed that I punched his face and left the room in anger.

Later, I hurridly went to class. As I walk down the hallway to my classroom, I was still flushed with that joke Caedis pulled. That idiot! He was just playing around from the start. It makes me furious just thinking about it. Grrr...

I entered class and just focused on my lessons.

CAEDIS' P.O.V.

After patting that woman's head, I saw her face red. Haha, it was hilarious. Although her punch really didn't hurt. I'm a Vampire after all.

"Stella Flos... what an interesting woman. I must admit, her blood smells good for a human." I said to myself while holding a glass of wine.
"Hm... I think this will be fun." I added with a grin.
