RWBY was a good show. It started off with an interesting premise and had the potential to be amazing. True, the animation engine was a little outdated, but Monty and Roosterteeth made-do with what they had. Given how invested the audience was with the first few volumes, it is no surprise that people would start writing fanfiction.

The fanbase has created some amazing stuff with RWBY. I'm sure you're familiar with the team DARK and SLVR animations, respectively owned by YouTubers Raxacory and Mark. It would be a sin not to mention Coeur Al'Aran. He is a legendary author on fanfiction.net and writes enjoyable stories, many of which are arguably better than those of modern RWBY. Though the majority are Jaune-centric, each iteration is interesting and very well written. His work is something everyone should take note of.

So why the fuck is there so much garbage plaguing the fanfictions of Wattpad? Unfortunately, RWBY is not the only victim, as this cycle has been cursing other fandoms with terrible fanfictions for many years now, and it's only been getting worse.

I have seen a fair share of stories related to RWBY on this site, and I can confirm that 95% of these authors cannot write for shit. On God, I have seen literal seven-year-olds with greater writing capabilities than these dweebs, yet for some reason, people think this is acceptable.

Y'all are too soft on these authors. If you keep sugar coating and telling them "Good Job" in the comments every time they upload terrible content, then they will never improve. Granted, my personal method of insulting them to the point of getting blocked by everyone hasn't shown results either. But I love being an asshole, so I'm going to keep doing that anyway.

Someone needs to teach these kids how to write, because I swear you'd never have thought they went to school by going off their writing alone, and that person is going to be me. I admit, I'm not the best author in the world, nor have I uploaded any stories onto this site, but I know what works and what doesn't. Just follow my advice and your story will improve.
