as you both got into the car you snickered and looked over to brett "a dinner date??"

"well yeah i-" he paused for a moment "i just wanted to be able to hang out with you alone y/n-" he laid his hand on your thigh and smiled up at you, you werent gonna lie, you wanted to hang out with him alone as well- you were just always too nervous to say anything to him about it.

"sooooo-" brett patted the steering wheel trying to think "does take out sound good to you.? im not really hungry so i just wanted to take you out to eat-"

"eh im not really hungry either-" you confessed "wanna just head back to my place and watch some tv?" you smiled at him as you put on your seat belt, ready to hang out with the man youve been crushing on for a while

[[30 minutes later]]

you unlocked your apartment door and let the taller man in "make yourself comfortable!" you smiled at him as you took off your own coat. something came over you as you watched him awkwardly sit on your livingroom couch, maybe it was finally that boost of confidence that you needed- you sat down next to him on the couch and smiled as you played with your own hair "punch me if this is unproffesional, but do you fancy me at all.?"

"WH- I-" brett sighed and put his head in his hands "was it that obvious?" he chuckled, trying to cover the red of bis cheeks

"you told the gang we were going on a dinner date?"

"oh yeah i guess that is a no brainer-" he sighed and played with his own hair "im sorry if this makes our friendship awkward- i just want to be your bro but- idk youre just so handsome-"

you laughed "make it awkward?! homie ive had a fat crush on you since ya got here!!"

"WAIT REALLY?! I THOUGHT YOU WERE JUST BEING NICE-"

"I MEAN I WAS BEING NICE- BUT I ALSO HAVE A HUGE CRUSH ON YA BRO-"

at this point you were both yelling, all giddy- you both couldnt believe that you had been liking eachother for at least months and just never realized! you hugged eachother and exchanged small kisses it was a lovely night all around, with chocolates and binging okd tv shows brett fancied.

a little later in the night you and brett decided to get into some drinks...
