The sun shone through Klee's curtains the golden rays glistening in her hair, waking her up gently. Like her mother she was naturally curious. As she lifted herself up into a comfortable sitting position she pushed her golden, silky hair out of her face. Today was yoing to be the day she was going ro sign up to join the adventurers guild. It was the last night she had planned to stay in an inn untill she leaves Mondstadt. She couldent stay here any longer; it was too painful.

She would throw on a simple comfortable outfit the seemed easy enough to move around in and a cecilia flower the had been preserved in a thin coat of some sort of firm resin. Albedo always really liked cecilias. Her smile saddened as she renembered the only sort of family she was close with. Klee loved her mother but she was always busy adventuring so they never formed a bond of any kind. She also tried to keep a distance from her mother as she left her with Jean; someone she had grown to hate. Though it wasnt just Jean it was all of the knights.

She shook her head lightly; as to not relive the night, and ruin a day she had been exited about for years. She walked down the musty wooden stairs- they creaked below her as she tried to contain her exitment.
"Thank you I would like to check out now!"
She handed the man at the desk a few thousond mora and cheerfully left through the door.

"Oh right Diluc!"
She had renembered that Klee had wanted to say goodbye to Diluc before she leaves. He was one of her few emotional supports. They had boded over disliking the knights of Favonius. She walked of the to angels share feeling the soft breeze around her comfort her. She would open the door and peek through a crack; it was decently quiet as it was decently early in the morning therefore there were very few drunkards. A cheerful conversation was happening inside near the front. She could hear Diluc commenting on current affairs. She stepped inside prepared to say hello to Diluc and whomever he was having a coveration with; only to be met with pure hatrid. For a moment she paused dumbfounded by what she saw. Why was Jean there? And Kaeya..? Diluc saw her standing in the the door knowing he lied to her. Knowing he betrayed her. He knew what happened that night. He was there. He saw it first hand.

Jean glanced behind her noticing that Diluc stopped paying attention to whatever she was saying. She tried her best to read the room. She knew that it was her fault. She had never forgiven herself for what happened her night. She just didnt know how Diluc was involved.

Not wanting to make a scene she quietly turned around and left, making sure to let them know that they hurt her. Tears streamed down her face yet she remained silent. Fuck Diluc. Fuck Jean. Fuck the Knights of Favonius. They can all go fuck themselves. She didnt care. As she approached the front gates of the city, a familiar voice stopped her in her tracks.
"Klee..?"
She turned around to see the slim figure of her old friend, Diona. Her comforting smile startled her. She looked worried, so genuinely worried. Klee was never known for crying if she did she would do it alone. People always saw her as cheerful and happy go lucky.

Diona ushered her out to a tree on the other side of Mondstadts gates giving them shade and privacy.
"Hey...whats up..."
As much as she tried to speak her voice failed her as she just ended up wimpering a few sorry sobs. Instead of prying her for awnsers she just pulled klee into her arms and held her close. This was the only support she knew how to give. In a few minutes both of them ended up falling asleep. The atmosphere calmed as their muscles losened.

Klee woke up a few hours later. She had completely forgot that she needed to sign up to the adventurers guild. She lightly shook Diona awake making sure to not bother her too much. She had explained that she wanted to sign up to the adventurers guild untill she was met with a request.
"Can I come with you?"
