Many noises were heard in the room, or where ever I was in. I couldn't identify anything at all. Cars, dogs barking, people, ambulances?

I realized I was wrong. Instead, they were noises of a crowded city. Where was I? Why couldn't I see a single thing?

I could tell the people were freaking out because of the screaming and quick movements that were happening around me. What if I died? I mean, I don't remember how or why I died. Possibly a coma, maybe?

Finally, after the few minutes I was able to think, I heard someone speak. Or yelling? "Get them out of here!" A distorted voice said. Everything else went silent.

Did I really die or am I only freaking out? Out of luck, or destiny, I managed to open my eyes for once. I was unfamiliar with my surroundings. There was a child, strange looking, on the carpet. They turned to look at me with a surprised expression. Was that a pumpkin costume they were wearing?

"They woke up!" The child exclaimed as they jumped up and rushed up the stairs. This left me stunned. That child knew me? I don't remember him at all.

Then, another couple of footsteps were heard coming down the stairs. A tall, monster looking 'thing' arrived. It had a lemon as a head, strangely. "Hello?" I managed to speak out.

The monster waved with a creepy smile. I noticed a portal to the left side from not wanting to make eye contact. I walked towards it, wanting to know if it would get me out of here.

Another one of those things appeared once I took three steps towards the portal. Except this one actually looked human. "Give up, monster! I've got more people on my side." A guy with ginger hair yelled. He was holding a gun and pointing it at the monster.

I was crazy to think he was pointing it at me. Wait...

I stood back in shock. He WAS pointing it at me! Was I the monster!?

I turned around to see if the two weird looking things were behind me. They were gone? I was alone left with whoever he was.

Later, another two people came in. "Boyfriend, girlfriend? I told you to stay in the city." Pico scolded them. "We got worried, y'know? Hold on. Who's this?" The blue haired boy stared at me.

I worryingly looked around for a weapon. I needed to feel safe at least. Or maybe escape. "They're a corrupted, boyfriend. Get girlfriend and yourself out of here and take care of Skid." Pico tried to push them back through the portal. "Skid is being treated in a hospital ambulance right now. The doctors said not to get involved." The girl with the red dress informed.

"Why didn't you tell us you were going through the portal before you rushed in?" Boyfriend stubbornly crossed his arms.

This was my chance! I grabbed a knife inside one of the drawers next to me and threw it at the gun that was being pointed at me. "Ack!" The gun holder stood back in shock.

I immediately ran to the portal and was able to go through it easily. I couldn't believe what I saw on the other side.

Many people were rushing around the city. Mainly ambulances. "Stand back!" The police yelled at the crowd. Cameras were flashing around the area. Should I be worried?

If I'm being honest, apart from the hurried people, the city was a really nice place. I stared up to see the skyscrapers. It was nighttime, and bring signs and screens on the city glowed. This felt new to me.

My thoughts stopped when someone tackled me to the ground. "H-Hey!— Ow!" I cried. That hurt my back and right arm immensely. "You can speak?" The person above me asked. Again, it was the green shirted guy who aimed that gun at me.

"Yeah? I'm a human being, aren't I?" I laid on the ground, giving up. The guy who tackled me was about to say something until someone else spoke. "Pico, I think you... Uh.", I heard them behind us say. The green shirted guy—or I guess I should call him Pico—stood up.

I sat up and stared at the shocked look they had. "What?" I asked in confusion. "Your leg." Pico pointed to my left leg. It indeed did look out of place. I'm sure it was nothing.

"It's fine." I said confidently. I tried standing up, but it turns out my leg was broken. Surprisingly, I couldn't feel pain. Was my leg asleep? "Well. That gives us a chance to bring them back to the base." Pico spoke to the blue haired guy, which was boyfriend if I remember correctly from what Pico said.

"Are you crazy? We can't bring them to our base. They'll murder us! Or maybe even worse... Infect us!" Boyfriend held a microphone up to his face, shaking from the horrid thought.

Girlfriend stood next to him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "It's alright, Boyfriend. We can keep them contained somewhere until they get uncorrupted." Girlfriend pitched in. I stared at the trio argue their ideas to eachother. It left me clueless over what they were talking about.

Corrupted? Was that what I was? I have no clue of things that had happened at all. It was like if I was reborn into a new life with knowledge of how to speak, talk, and anything basic a human can do. Maybe I had some sort of amnesia?

"Listen, we'll just get them to the base and figure things out. Plus, it would be a good chance to look and study corrupted ones more up close." Pico continued. Boyfriend hesitated. "They already took Skid into the hospital already corrupted as he is. Are you sure we shouldn't leave it to the scientists?" Boyfriend questioned Pico.

"The government will do anything to hide things from us and the public. It's best if we find things out ourselves. Plus, this one is different from the others." Pico replied as he picked me up and carried me on his back. "You know I don't agree to this, right? I just want to go home. By home I mean my home." I fought back.

"Then where exactly is your home?" Pico asked as he walked towards a car that was parked in a parking lot outside a restaurant.

I didn't say anything. Not because I didn't want to tell him where I lived, but because I didn't remember if I even had a home.
