BEHIND THEIR SMILES

Are they truly happy right now?

Something that never fails to make me sad about BTS is that they will always have insecurities, and negative feelings, and suffering, and all the stupid shit humans have to go through. some of the things they say make me question: are they truly happy right now? is anyone truly happy right now? some examples i might bring up from the 2021 festa interview that prove my point.

~Namjoon + Jimin when asked about what they are bad at:  Namjoon kind of subtly hints at the notion that though he may be good at what he does in BTS — writing songs, rapping — he's not sure what his role in life is otherwise. what is he really talented at, other than just being in a boy group? he just doesn't have enough time to explore other things. it's times like these when i worry about BTS' mental state. Jimin says that he has trouble emptying his thoughts. when my brain gets clogged with overthinking and stress, i take a break. but Jimin can't do that.

~Seokjin when asked about composition + writing lyrics:  Seokjin is one of the most humble people out there. he's worked so hard to prove that he is worth being part of the group other than just his visuals, and yet he still believes that he hasn't tried hard enough.

~Jimin, Jungkook, + Hoseok when asked about something they're embarrassed of:  You can't really not be worried for them when they say things like this with a straight face. Jimin is embarrassed of his personality, something that people all over the world fell in love with. Jungkook is embarrassed when he gains weight, something that happens to everyone with no problem. Hoseok says that he's embarrassed when people compliment him. but why?

BTS probably has double the problems everyone else has, but they have half the time to solve them. and it hurts.

IT HURTS TO SEE THEM STRUGGLE ALL ALONE SO SUPPORT THEM IF YOU THINK OF YOURSELF AS A TRUE ARMY
